Lydia's POV
The morning sunlight poured gently through the windows. Damian lay sprawled beside me, deeply asleep, his lips slightly parted, the sheets tangled around his legs. I watched him for a moment, calm, peaceful... undeserving.
I slid out of bed, careful not to wake him. I needed my charger, and I remembered exactly where it was, tucked in his car’s glove compartment from before my trip.
Outside, the driveway glistened from the night dew. I opened the Mercedes door and reached into the compartment. My fingers brushed past my charger... and stopped.
There it was.
A lipstick.
Deep plum. Gold case. Open.
Not mine.
I stared at it for a long moment. The scent of vanilla clung faintly to the tissue beside it.
I said nothing.
Just smiled to myself and gently shut the glovebox like I hadn’t seen a thing.
Back inside, I made breakfast in silence, eggs, toast, his favorite black coffee, no sugar.
Damian came downstairs, looking casual, stretching like nothing in the world could touch him.
He kissed my cheek. I kissed him back.
Then it happened.
His phone, on the counter, buzzed.
He didn’t notice. But I did.
Ava ❤️
“Last night was fire, baby. I still feel you on my thighs ”
I blinked once. Twice.
Then I picked up the phone, walked to him with a soft smile, and placed it in his hand.
“Baby…” I said sweetly, brushing invisible lint from his chest, “your little girlfriend just texted.”
He froze.
I smiled wider. “You should probably tell her you’re having breakfast with your wife.”
Then I kissed his cheek again, walked to the dining table like a queen, and took a sip of my coffee.
“By the way…” I added, without looking up,
“I love that perfume you got me. But next time, don’t forget her lipstick in the car.”
Damian's POV
I had told her not to contact me. Not when I was with Lydia. Not ever recklessly.
But that text—"Last night was fire..."—nearly cost me everything.
I arrived at the office much earlier than usual. My employees blinked in surprise as I walked through the lobby, tension written all over my face.
“I have something urgent to handle,” I muttered to my assistant, ignoring the stares.
Once inside my office, I slammed the door, loosened my tie, and paced like a man losing grip on his own reality.
I was still trying to calm my nerves when the door clicked open again.
Ava walked in and locked it behind her.
She was wearing a cream-colored blouse tucked into a pencil skirt that hugged every curve like it was made to worship her. Her curls bounced softly around her shoulders, and her perfume—that damned vanilla—wrapped around me like a spell.
I wanted to be angry. I wanted to ask her what the hell she was thinking.
But one look at her... and I forgot.
Completely.
Before I could stop myself, I strode toward her and planted a desperate, hungry kiss on her lips.
“Why did you do that?” I whispered, my hands cupping her face.
Her eyes sparkled, amused. “Because I missed your body.”
She reached up, slid her fingers down my chest, and slowly tugged at my belt.
My anger melted into desire.
I lifted her onto my desk, her legs wrapping around me. Her skirt rode up, and I found the zipper on her blouse, pulling it down with shaking hands. She wasn't wearing a bra.
I groaned softly, my lips trailing down her neck as my hands found her breasts, soft, warm, irresistible.
“I should be mad at you,” I said into her skin, already losing the will to resist.
“But you’re not,” she whispered, pulling me closer, her voice sultry. “You never really are.”
And she was right.
Her fingers slid under my shirt, cool and possessive, as if she had every right to touch me,because deep down, she knew I’d let her.
I lifted her fully onto the desk, sending a few papers flying to the floor, but neither of us cared. Ava's legs wrapped around my waist, her body arching toward me with a hunger that matched my own. The moment our lips met again, it was fire, reckless, consuming fire.
Her blouse fell open, her skin warm beneath my palms. I kissed down her collarbone, taking my time, tasting every inch like I was desperate to memorize her.
She let out a soft gasp when my mouth reached her breast, and her fingers tangled in my hair, tugging slightly, just enough to make me groan.
“Damian,” she breathed, her voice a husky whisper that sent a ripple down my spine. “You’re driving me insane.”
I grinned against her skin. “You already drove me there.”
Her skirt was hiked up now, and I could feel the heat of her pressing against me through my trousers. I undid my belt slowly, teasing both of us, dragging the moment out as her eyes locked with mine, dark, wild, daring.
She pulled me down to her again, kissed me like she needed it to breathe. I pushed her back gently onto the desk, her curls spilling like silk over my files.
Her hips lifted as I slid her panties aside, and the first contact made both of us gasp, raw, electric.
I entered her in one smooth, deep motion.
Ava arched beneath me, her lips parting in pleasure, her nails dragging down my back. The office was silent except for our breathing, the creak of the desk, and the sound of two people completely losing themselves in each other.
I moved slowly at first, controlled, measured. But it didn’t take long before control slipped away. She met every thrust with more hunger, whispering my name like a secret, pulling me deeper.
My hands gripped her thighs, her waist, her everything.
She was mine. Right here. Right now.
I watched her fall apart beneath me, her eyes fluttering shut, her body trembling.
And when she came, soft moans, breathless gasps, fingers clawing for more,it pulled me over the edge too.
I collapsed gently over her, still buried deep inside her, both of us catching our breath.
For a long moment, there was only silence.
She ran her fingers through my hair, smiling lazily. “I should mess up your life more often.”
I laughed softly against her neck. “You already are.”
But in the corner of my mind… Lydia’s wicked smile still lingered.
