DEVON POV.
I rub my tired eyes with my palms. I feel so exhausted but I'm afraid to close my eyes in case there's a chance that Skylar will wake up. It's already been a month since she fell into her coma. At least Dr. Missy finally had some good news for us. She informed us that the swelling has gone down and that they are waiting on her latest scans to be able to see if there is any damage.
I fold my hands around her warm one and gently rub my thumb across her skin. "Come on Sky, I know you can do it. Please come back to me." I beg in a low voice. "I'll do anything just to see your beautiful eyes, staring back at me."
I sigh deeply and tiredly. I put her hand back down gently beside her and stand up, stretching my body to rid myself of the stiffness that settle while sitting for hours.
