"I-I think t-the baby is c-coming." Nicole cries out in pain and I feel the blood drain from my face. Fear grips at my heart because not only is it clear that she will not be able to make it to Jenny at the hospital but because of the rogue attack, I can’t take that chance to be caught out in the open. “Oh Gods.” I breath out and I can feel my hands start shaking.
“N-Nic, what do we do? Should I call Stephen?” I ask and I feel myself starting to panic but she suddenly grabs my hand when another contraction hits. She takes deep painful breath until it passed, and she looks at me. “No, we can’t distract him with w-whatever is going on out there. I-it could get him killed. You’ll have to help me de-deliver the baby.” She says breathlessly and my heart jumps a beat.
