Chapter Fourteen ‘Uh! Someone’s phone!’ Nick shouted. Sloan knew it could only be Darcy’s because it wasn’t his, and Nick would know his and Bella’s. The men were watching the sports news when Darcy ran out of Bella’s room in a pencil skirt, and a b*a, nothing else. ‘Hell-o!’ Nick said, holding up Darcy’s bag. ‘Hey,’ Sloan said, shoving his friend, but if there was a man in the world less of a threat than Nick Bracken, Sloan would never meet him. Nick’s teasing was as good natured as Sloan’s had been when he’d caught Bella coming out of the bathroom that morning in nothing but a tiny towel. Nick was watching the news again, and drinking his coffee, the bedroom door lay open, and Darcy wandered in and out of it, without an ounce of embarrassment. The good parts were covered, just, Nick
