Chapter Ten For most of the night, she had tossed and turned trying to decide what was the best way forward. Doug’s warning had plagued her thoughts, she could ruin Johnny, ruin his career, ruin what he had spent years building. If he lost everything because of her then they would have to stay together, she didn’t want him to resent her for his sacrifice. Still, she was left with the original problem too: geography. Things had been complicated before she had learned about his career. Although he spoke as though they were going to be together forever she had always been aware of home. Home was a place she loved, a place of normality that seemed so distant to her now even as she lay in her own bed. She wanted to be here, wanted to be home, and back to her life. Johnny did not.
