Chapter 11

"Go to the right!" I screamed at Cole and we're currently playing games.

"No, we will die if we go to the right."

"But the pattern is different now! Just go to the right!" I hissed and he listened.

"See.. we're safe." I let out a relieved sigh. I turned to him glaring and he gave me an awkward smile.

"Hey!" He protested when I took his console.

"Are you really a nerd? Last time I check, a nerd should not be good at games.." He said flatly as he took his console back and started a new game.

"We need to stop, Cole." I sighed.

"No, let's play another game."

"That's what you said earlier!"

"One more.." He begged and I shook my head.

"No. You have to make that project." I hissed and my phone rang. I grabbed it from my bag and it's Flora.

"Cassie, where are you?" Oh boy.

"I'm at my friend's house."

"We have an interview and a photoshoot now. Get your ass home!" She said and I panicked.

"I have to go now." I said as I closed my bag.

"Where and why are you in a hurry?" He asked as he stopped his game.

"I have something important to do." I went out from his room. I went out from his house and I have to go home fast or Clarissa will kill me. I took a cab and quickly went home.

"Where the hell have you been?" Flora said when I entered the house. I ignored her and ran upstairs to my room. I took off my wig, braces, and glasses. I went straight to the bathroom and took a shower.

After that I went down to let the make up artist and the hair stylist do my hair. After an hour, I changed into my dress and ready for the photoshoot. I got into the car and went straight to the studio.

"You often go to this friend of yours." She said in a suspicious tone.

"Who is she? Or maybe.. a he.."

"Harrison's one and only heir." I said.

"Cole Harrison?!" Flora squealed and I sighed.

"Yes."

"Did he know you're-"

"No, he doesn't. He knows me as Cassie."

"That doesn't explain why you're in his house, are you dating him?" She asked.

"No, we're friends. We happened to love.. games." I said and she looked at me not believing it.

We started the interview for a magazine and after we're done. We got a photoshoot.

"Hello Katherina." I turned to see Rick, my favorite photographer.

"Hello Rick." I gave him a brief hug.

"Now go change and let's show time." He said and I quickly changed into my bikini. The photoshoot is for a famous brand called Emerald. A month ago, I signed a contract with them for this new collection.

"Good job, K."

"You're beautiful."

"Give me more poses."

"Great!"

Rick gave me some directions to pose because he has a new lighting that gave give me more glow. After changing into 10 different bikinis, it's a wrap.

"Katherina." Flora called and she gestured me to go to her.

"What?"

"I forgot to tell you that tonight, we will have dinner with a couple of company. It's a big event to be exact. It must have slipped my mind too, I'm so sorry. Cherice will be there." She said and I nodded.

"It's okay."

"Let's go home, you're covered in sand. Take a quickl shower and I'll bring the team to your house." She said and I nodded. She was busy calling people on our way home. I jumped into the shower again and repeated my glam routine.

"Your dad will be there, by the way." Flora said.

"What is it about exactly?"

"It's a charity event and an auction event." When I'm still in my glam routine. Dad and Dean came home. Dean went up immediately, it's like he's in a rush.

"You'll be there right?"

"Yes, dad."

"Good, okay." He walked upstairs.

"Remember to act like usual." My brother said as he walked down the stairs.

"Okay." I said and Flora gave me a off shoulder black dress. She helped me put my highheels on and I looked at myself in the mirror.

"Cas." I turned to see Vincent walking out from the kitchen with his bluetooth earphone still on.

"Yes?"

"Have you eat yet?"

"No, not really." I said and he walked to me with a plate full of steak.

"Go take a few bites."

"I'm late."

"Do it, Cassie." He said and he made his way to the kitchen. I took a few bites as I'm waiting for ride. Flora rented a car for me because why would I use my own cars. They will trace the number back to the Edwards.

Flora told me that the car is already waiting, I got in and went straight to the event. After 15 minutes, I arrived at the event. I got out and walked into the building. The staff led me inside and I have some people greet me. I walked inside and not long after that, my dad and brother arrived.

"You're here!" I turned my body around and saw Cherice. I hugged her and she squealed.

"Look at you, you look so beautiful!" I said.

"Look at you too!" She smirked.

"Let's sit down!" She pulled me to our seat. We're busy talking about our schedule when suddenly Cherice pointed me at the entrance door.

"Speaking of the devil.." She said and my eyes when I saw Cole.

"He's cute." Cherice said and I shook my head. Before I could say anything, Cherice was called by someone and I'm all alone. I ordered food and drank my water.

"Have you order anything yet?" I turned to see my brother sitting beside me. He's sitting so formally like we're talking business.

"Yes, I did. I already ate Vincent's steak at home too."

"Okay then." With that he left. I decided to get up and grabbed some desserts. I grabbed a plate and took a couple of chocolate mochi and a small glass of matcha pudding.

"Looks good." I almost jumped hearing Cole's voice.

"You're the girl that I bumped the other day right?" I turned to him and he smiled to me widely.

"Yes."

"You're a model?"

"Yes."

"Nice to meet you, I'm Cole Harrison." He said as he put his hand in front of me.

"Katherina Locks." I grabbed his hand and shook it briefly. "See you around." I said and walked back to my seat but he's followed me.
