Noah POV

It was late when I felt a big pain shoot through me. Making me fall on the floor, I was crawling up grabbing my chest. As if my heart stopped beating. I lied there on the kitchen floor, my body freezing up. Feeling my connection and ties with Austin break. What does this mean? I feel super confused as I always could feel his presence but now its exchanged for emptiness. This can not be good. I have to go find him, he must be in a life threatening situation. However if the connection has disappeared already... He can't be dead... it just can't be true. I quickly message Gale, explaining what I just felt. Without the connection of Austin I shift and start running around like a chicken without a head. He normally goes for a run to hunt in the woods around the bar. So that is the first place I run towards. Gale tries to link with me. 

*Did you see him at the bar?*

*He hasn't been here. Whatever got him, you can not go running around in the woods alone. It or they might still be around. Meet me at the creak, I will join you and call some other guys from the pack*

*Oke* Running to the creak I meet up with Gale. We keep running around until the sun rises but still no trail of his scent is caught by either of us. My worries make me feel sick. Having almost searched every corner of the woods, we start to search around town. Searching for any sign or paw print or his scent. 

*I can sense he has been here, its not a strong smell though. Some time must have passed* Gale hops around the ground with his snout. Trying to see if the smell becomes stronger or more fresh into any direction. Just then this small brown wolf joins us, Josh. 

*He wrestled here with a rogue yesterday.* Josh still sounds boyish and young. 

*And you didn't think to tell us about this earlier?* I was starting to get annoyed as I feel hurt and tired. 

*I chased the rogue but lost track of him. Austin told me its fine, as it was only one.* 

Meanwhile Gale has been slowly following the scent, first it made him walk around in weird circles but now he is walking towards the direction of Conan's house. 

*They are never alone.* Annoyed I leave him standing there as I run passed Gale towards Conan's house. With every time my paws hit the ground I take another deep breath. Trying to inhale Austin's scent. Gale immediately follows me. Reaching Conan's house it looks totally fine. Not in any rampage or such. Jumping onto their veranda I can see Olivia through the glass window. She runs immediately outside. Giving Gale a hug. Through our mind link I can hear he is enjoying it. "Hey Josh" Olivia waves to Josh as he finally catches up with us. 

Conan steps out as well. "He isn't here. Whats the problem? If it can wait, he will be back soon I think." 

*WHERE IS HE* My patience totally ended at this moment. 

"His hideaway" Not many know where that is. However I do as Austin has taken me before when I was still a woman. 

*Gale, stay here with Josh and explain it all to Conan.*

With that I jump with a big leap over the veranda on the ground. Running towards the cliff. Conan tries to link with me to stop me. *He is fine* What does he mean with he is fine? *I felt our connection break. He cannot be 'fine' * 

Reaching the top of the cliff, I see his truck parked out of the small cottage. Shifting back to my human form. Putting on the clothes I tied around my leg. I start to bang the door. Nobody answers. I know he is here. I can smell him. However I don't see any blood or smell other wolves. Taking another deep breath I start to pick up small traces of someone else. A human. 

I bang loud enough that I could smash the door apart. Finally I can hear him shifting around and walking towards the door. The moment the door opens I am washed over by a erotic smell of s*x. 

Dumbstruck I look at him. Then at her. A human. Her. "Her?" He just had to spend time with her? While I was worried and have been running all night searching for him. Thinking he was in grave danger. All along he was betraying me with her... The betrayal must have caused this. 

*I can explain* he thinks, instead of smoothing making me more furious. My hand tense into fists. I could smash her little skull in right now. He can explain? What is there to explain? " I CAN F***** SMELL THE s*x IN THE AIR!" My body moves towards her, but Austin holds me back. Pushing me out of the cabin. I am unable to put one foot inside. So this is how its gonna be. He won't let me put one step closer. Not one step into his hideaway, in his life. Pushing me further out he steps out of the cabin closing the door. 

*The smell explains enough. While I was worried sick that you died or got hurt, you have been screwing her. YOU MATED WITH HER. Making me feel as if I was dying all alone in OUR house. If this is your way of getting fresh air and thinking. That is one heck of a way to enjoy your 'thinking'. Hope you enjoyed riding this human.* the words almost spitted out of me. 

* I lost control. I wasn't planning to sleep with her, especially like this behind your back*

*Well thanks for wanting to tell me whenever you were actually planning to screw her over....*

*Lets talk this through at home*

*There is nothing to say. You have to choose. Either this lamb or me. If its her, don't even bother to come back home. If its me, go bring her back to wherever you got her from and I will see you at home.* 

*I marked her. It is what it is, and you will have to suck it up. She is my fated mate, one day or another this would have happened anyway.* He turned stern. Using his Alpha command *Go home and I will see you there* He never used to be so stern towards me. But having no choice than to obey I sulk away. Stumbling back home. 

Conan must have known. How many know this by now? Now I am just another wolf of the pack. Over staying his stay in the house of the Alpha... 

Austin POV

"Sorry for that. He also uses this place sometimes so he was just a bit shocked haha* Rubbing my hand over my head and neck. Not sure what else to tell Lena. 

"Its fine. You are guys after all* down casting her eyes. 

She must assume we take a lot of girls here. "Its not like that. We normally don't bring anyone here. Kind of like a man cave."

"Its a really cozy man cave then" her words make me laugh. She got a point. 

Handing her jacket to her. I hold out my hand. After she takes it I pull her up. Planting a kiss on her forehead I walk with her hand in hand back to the truck. "I will bring you back home"

The drive back to Conan's was quiet. Arriving at the curb. She looks at me before jumping out. "See you around"

" See you around" I wink at her. If I will survive whatever Noah might do to me back at home.
