Austin POV  Having visited the hardware store in the next town I made my way to Gale's bar. Starting to get hungry I was hoping he still has some deer meat left. Together with a good beer. Maybe I might even find Conan there. I didn't mind link with him as I don't necessarily need him but its weird that I haven't seen him or sensed him on the way.  After his wife died by an attack of rogues he lost it a bit. Never imagined that I would ever see him so silent. If it wasn't for his work at the clinic, he might have gone rogue himself or be locked up at home. Since the accident he rarely shifts to his other form, as he does not drive either with his absent mind, its normal that he hitchhikes and brings humans to our town. Even though most small business owners in town don't mind. Almost all citizens have werewolf blood and those who don't, know about us. But never knowing when strangers might arrive, I ordered everyone to stay in their human form around town during day time.  Gale's bar lays a bit outside of town. By car it might take up to a half hour, but most of us just shift and enjoy the run. In front of Gale's bar I could see 4 cars parked. The grey sports mercedes is Gale's, the other three cars I never have seen before, but this dark green truck stood out to me the most. While the truck looked old and rusty. With my increased senses I could smell a sweet lavender fresh scent coming from the truck. As the scent caressed my nostrils I felt my body stop in its track and relax. Closing my eyes I felt as if my body was surrounded by puffy clouds, caressing my body as they softly pass my body. Drawing myself back to reality I open my eyes. More then determined to find out to who this scent belongs to and why it made my inner wolf so excited. Before opening the door I took a deep breath. As the cars are unknown to me humans from out of town might be as well present. I have to get my s**t together. 'You have to get your s**t together' I sighed to Gilroy.  Having felt this before, but in a less intense way, when meeting Noah for the first time. I have this feeling of who might be present behind this door. Even though I don't understand how this is possible, this might explain why the sparks between Noah and I disappeared.  Anyway we can not lose control in there. 'You are killing me. Move those feet of yours!' Gilroy growled. Becoming more impatient as seconds pass, I push the door open. Seeing a woman seated at the bar next to Conan my body stiffened.  Wearing tight jeans and a oversized black shirt I could still see her curves and beautiful profile. Brown short hair curled around her chin, such a small and pale face. Her hazelnut eyes gazing right into my soul. She looked perfect to me. Gilroy started jumping up and down inside of me. ' MATE, MATE, MATE!' For a second I lost slight control and my lips formed the whisper " Maa..". Right away I broke my contact with her eyes and saw Conan in shock after realising what I almost said out loud. He turned quickly to look at her. Why is he looking at my woman like that! A woman.. MY woman. I felt a burning feeling go through my lower stomach making its way up spreading through my body. Why is she sitting next to him? A low growl came from Gilroy. He didn't like this either.  Trying to keep my body from running to her and growling in public I tensed all my muscles and slowly made my way to her. I can't wait to hold her in my arms, her head nuzzling against my chest. The feeling of those small lips, borrowing my face in her hair and neck, marking her. Never breaking eye contact I stop in front of her.  "Nice to meet you. I am Austin. Are you by any chance friends with him?" Pointing with my head towards Conan. "Or is he just bothering you?" Gilroy felt satisfied. We both felt we had to approach her carefully. If she would run away from us, I wouldn't be able to control myself. Wanting to lock her up somewhere, where no male can ever touch or look at her.  "We are friends. Met at Gabs and I invited her to come participate at our festival" Conan is enjoying himself. A sly expression written all over his face. 'Participate? Does she know about us? Friends? How long have you spend time together?' Linking with Conan his smile only grew but he wouldn't tell me anything. 'Looks like you forgot that I am still your Alpha. Tell me. NOW!'  'Sorry Alpha, she doesn't know about us yet. But it might be best to get to know more about her through her.' Conan is trying to play mind games with me. Thankfully I know him long enough. He is basically admitting that he doesn't know much either. So they can't have spend much time together. Gilroy feels relieved.  We were interrupted by her sweet voice. "Doesn't he bother everyone?" she gave a sly smile to Conan before turning back to me. "I am Lena, originally from Germany, but basically on a road trip at the moment.  So I am from no where and everywhere. Nice to meet you too, Austin" My name coming from her lips made my body shudder from happiness. But soon a feeling of doubt came over me. Road trip? We will have to make her stay no matter what. How the heck am I supposed to explain this to Noah though.  "That makes me only more confused to why you asked for water. Are you sure about your origins?" Gale bursted out laughing.  Lena POV I have never been comfortable around guys that I feel attracted to. Unable to speak much or be myself. Austin being the man he is, makes me super uncomfortable with myself. From the moment he walked in, till now that he is standing in front of me. It is hard to keep my eyes of him. Towering over me with his broad shoulders he looks at me with gorgeous deep amber color eyes. A strand of his dark hair glides slowly towards his eyes. Before realising what I am doing, I reach out and brush the strand away from his eyes. My fingers never touching his face but I could feel sparks flowing through my fingers as if our skin made some sort of invisible connection. From the surprise on his face I guess he must be feeling it as well. Freezing on the spot my fingers remain on the side of his face before I quickly pull them away.  Immediately breaking eye contact. Think. Think. Think. I have to say something. As I can not look at Austin anymore out of embarrassment. Showing such intimacy after only 3 minutes, I must have completely lost my mind after this one beer. In a hurry to escape the situation I look towards Conan.  "So you two know each other." my voice slightly trembled, it was neither a confirmation or a question but thankfully Conan took the bate.  "He is basically our town chief."  Austin looks like he is in his late twenties. But a town chief, I am not sure if thats the same as a major. At his age though? Gale confirms. "He is a great chief. I have no complains, and you can see he is also a loyal customer and great for my business. Where he goes, females go, and men will follow"  He must be as popular as I think he is.  "I have a complain about you though. What bar owner doesn't ask his guests if they want something to eat or drink. I am famished." Allowing myself to look at Austin again, our eyes meet again. They have turned darker, filled as if with lust.  I turn around, as he takes the seat around the corner of the bar. I don't have to turn too much to keep an eye on him. Our distance is not far enough to avoid the feeling, of warmth together with the uncomfortableness filling my body, that I get when in his presence.  Gale hands him a beer. "I still have some deer meat left. Give me a sec and I will prepare you dinner. Lena. Conan. Do you guys want something to dig in as well?" "Thanks Gale, but I think I need a fresh breath of air after that one beer. I didn't expect it to hit me so hard. Or maybe a cold shower." Showing that I am determined to leave this spot, I step off my chair  "Make yourself at home darling. We have a couple of guest rooms upstairs. On your left hand when you get upstairs you can pick any room. Take a shower and take some rest." With a wink from Gale I stand up fully on my now wobbly legs. Making way to the wooden stairs. I notice carved in animal figures on the railing. Sliding my hand over every wooden animal I get upstairs. Choosing the furthest room, I walk in and lock the door. At least in this way I can hear clearly if somebody walks towards my room so I can mentally prepare myself for whatever.
