Chapter Seventeen

1771 Words

Chapter Seventeen Hi again Friday Fortnighters! Spring is around the corner for us here in the Southern Hemisphere. Frilly blossoms are sprouting on prunus branches in Kirribilli’s avenues (Kirribilli is a suburb neighbouring my own—and home of the north-pylons of the Sydney Harbour Bridge). To all of you in the Northern Hemisphere: by now you are probably enjoying the cosiness of cooler days and nights as autumn approaches. No doubt clans of seasons sprites similar to those Orahney watched over are hard at work painting the leaves all sorts of fiery colours! I can’t wait for you to read this second letter of Edward Lillibridge’s that Charles has so kindly allowed us to display on this site. Thanks again to Harriet Neilson, of Cornwall in the UK, for transcribing Lillibridge’s letters
