Chapter Twenty-four Matthew glared at the upturned coffee table. ‘It’s all your fault,’ he said to it. Moments before, Rosetta had flitted away from him. Before he had time to say anything, she’d disappeared out of the door. He’d gone to leap from the couch. It had clung to him, pulling him back to its cushioned depths. Struggling against the deceptively cosy force, he’d found his feet. Went to dash around the coffee table and collided with it instead.
