Abbie"s POV
I can"t get over with my embarrassment last night. My God! I know he saw my underwear. How could I be so careless!
I look myself in the mirror my hair looks dull and lifeless. I need to visit a salon.
As I enter the salon I was greeted by my favourite hair stylist.
"Hey darling! so happy to see yeah!" Marky greeted me with a hug.
"Oh Marky! I need your magical hands to transform my hair." I said hugging him as well.
"Love what have you done to those glorious locks?" He touches my hair and examined it.
"You have to take care of these babies you know." He said leading me to his work station.
I got my hair cut just reaching my shoulders, and keratin treatment for it to be shiny.
"Wow! Thank you Marky you can really make a miracle!" I beam at him.
"Sure darling I will use all my magical powers for you anytime." He said escorting me out the door.
"That"s why you"re my favorite stylist." I said kissing his cheeks.
"I know darling, I know. Au revoir!" He vid me goodbye.
Today I"m meeting Lisa over dinner. I missed her, she"s been to Washington for her new project.
I drove back to my apartment to get ready. I wear a pink off shoulder dress and pair it with my black four inch stiletto heels.
We"re having dinner at an Italian restaurant. I arrived and saw Randy talking to a waiter. He saw me and smiled.
"Abbie! It"s been a long time. I didn"t know you"ll join us to dinner, maybe Lisa forgot to mention it to me." He said hugging me.
"I"m surprised that you were here too Randy, I thought Lisa and I will have a girl bonding tonight but an extra company will not hurt." I told him.
He leads me to a private room. Lisa was already there sitting at the table giving her orders to the waiter.
We ate and chat, catching up with each other.
I can feel something was off about this couple. Lisa was a bit fidgety while Randy was restless.
"Seriously guys what"s wrong with the both of you?" I cannot help but ask.
"I have something to say." Lisa blurted looking at the both of us.
"I want to tell you something." Randy utter at the same time looking at Lisa.
"Oh come on guys, seriously what"s eating you?" I asked again.
"Let me speak first." Randy said.
"No! Let me speak first." Lisa protested facing Randy .
"Oh no baby, let me tell you something first please." Randy pleaded with Lisa.
"This is much important Randy." Lisa said giving him a stern look.
"But baby.." Randy starts to protest but was cut off by Lisa.
"I"m pregnant!" She announces.
"What!?" Me and Randy shout at the same time.
"I"m pregnant as in there"s a baby inside my tummy. You know.." she said pointing at her stomach.
"We know that silly." I told her smiling.
"I"m going to be a father?" Randy whisper to himself digesting the information.
"Congratulations! I"m so happy for the both of you." I stand walking beside Lisa to give her a hug.
Suddenly a waiter entered the room carrying a cake and places it in front of Lisa.
"I didn"t order a cake." She frowns.
When she glances on the cake her eyes widen. There written on the cake the words "Will you marry me?" in neat curvy letters.
Randy walks beside Lisa and bend in one knee. He takes a small black velvet box inside his pocket and opened it to reveal a beautiful princess cut diamond ring with two small rubies on each side. Lisa gasps.
"Lisa I know I"m being difficult sometimes but you never leave my side. I"m thankful that God gave you to me when everything starts to fall. You are the sunshine that makes my world bright. Your craziness gives colours to my life. I don"t know what I would do without you, I want you in my life forever. So now I"m pleading, asking the most wonderful women I have ever met to be a part of my life. Will you marry me baby?" Randy wholeheartedly asked Lisa.
"Oh Randy yes, yes!" She lift in her seat hugging or should I say tackling Randy on the floor.
They stay in that position in a while. Lisa was crying with happiness. I had tears in my eyes too.
"I thought you will never ask." Lisa hit Randy"s shoulder.
"It"s about time Randy, took you long enough." I said smiling at them.
"Hey put that ring on me now before I change my mind!" Lisa blurted.
"Okay, okay so bossy." Randy oblige chuckling.
He slide the ring on her finger and kiss Lisa passionately.
"Wait your pregnant so which means I"m going to be a father?" Randy asked beaming.
"Yeah I"m 5 weeks now." She said and received another kiss from her fiancé.
We celebrate with some wine while Lisa just drinks sparkling juice. We are already discussing the details for the wedding. I can see her glowing with happiness imagining her dream wedding. Obviously I"m the maid of honor so I"m preparing myself to assist my best friend, for sure she will get the Bridezilla of the year award with her hormones all over the place.
