*This chapter has different POV"s
Jake"s POV
It"s Friday today, I"m still here in Manhattan laying on my bed. A glossy envelop in my hand. I"m thinking if I"m going to the wedding or not.
I want to see her but will she talk to me?
I got up and strode to my cabinet, pack some clothes, pick up my keys and run to my car.
I need the first flight to Greensboro!
Abbie"s POV (Saturday)
Today is the wedding day of my parents. I"m so happy for them, finally they will have the happy ending that they deserve!
Mom was wearing a cream colored lace gown, her hair was style in an elegant up do, adorn with pearls and Swarovski crystals.
"Do I look okay?" Mom asked nervously looking at the full length mirror.
"Mom you look fabulous!" I said hugging her from behind.
"I feel so nervous, what if your Dad change his mind?"
"Are you kidding me? I think when you walk down the aisle and Dad saw you he will forget the world." I said encouraging her.
"Thank you honey, I don"t know what I would do without you." She said facing me and hugging me tight.
I can see her eyes are shinning with unshed tears.
"Mom don"t cry you will ruin your make up." I told her.
"I"m just so happy that after so many years finally this day is happening." She said trying to hold back her tears.
"I"m so happy for the both of you mom. I love you!" We hug each other tightly.
I"m wearing a Venus cut peach chiffon gown. My hair was sweep to the side and tied with a silk peach ribbon.
The ceremony will be held in the rose garden. They set up a small stage for the altar and my parents to sit. The top of the stage has a white canopy. A red carpet was laid on the center where the entourage will walk. Star gazers, white and peach hydrangeas were arranged beautifully along the aisle. Three hundred chairs are arranged in rows for the guest to sit.
It was a dream wedding come true. Dad ensures that everything was perfect for my mother.
The wedding coordinator informs us to get ready, the ceremony will start in five minutes.
The quartet starts playing and the wedding march starts.
As I walk down the aisle three hundred pairs of eyes watch me.
"Don"t trip, don"t trip!" I chant over and over in my head.
When I reach the altar mom started to walk slowly. Different colors of butterflies were released in the air and a carpet of smoke covered the ground, giving an illusion like she is walking in the clouds.
I feel a chill watching my mom, I imagine my self walking on the same aisle dressed in a white wedding gown looking happy and an ocean blue eyed man patiently waiting for me beside the altar, he was smiling his signature smirk and when I"m standing beside him he will hold my hand and kiss it affectionately and lead me to our seat in front of the altar.
I was interrupted from my trance when I heard the priest speak on the microphone.
"You may now kiss the bride!" He said happily.
Am I day dreaming all through out the ceremony? Oh, I"ll be damn!
Jake"s POV
I can"t take my eyes off her, she"s stunning! Walking gracefully down the aisle, her eyes twinkling when she smile. It"s hard to breathe watching her knowing that she"s still angry at me. I want to kiss those luscious lips senseless.
Luckily there are hundreds of guest in this wedding, I can conceal my self and blend with the people around.
Watching her from a far was painful, I could have been seated besides her holding her hand but it was too late, I was too late.
Abbie"s POV
The reception was a bliss, my parents were dancing in the center of the hall. Watching them makes my heart swell with joy. I can see in their eyes how much this moment means to them.
Going to the bar to get a drink, I can feel someone"s watching me. It"s creepy so I hurriedly walk looking at my back when I bump into someone and lost my balance. I landed on the floor butt first and wince at the sharp pain on my behind.
"Are you alright? Asked a middle aged man. Offering his hand to help me stand up.
"Oh I"m so sorry! I"m not looking where I"m going." I apologized fixing my self.
"It"s okay dear." Said the man.
I just bow my head apologetically and walk again.
When I reach the bar, I sit on the chair and ordered margarita.
Sipping my drink my eyes scan the crowd, I feel uneasiness. What could this be?
I got up on my seat and headed to the balcony on the second floor, I need some quiet time for my self.
Jake"s POV
I"ve been watching her the whole time at the reception and when I saw her trip, I instantly stand on my seat and walk to her direction to help her up but my boss Mr. Jenkins beat me.
"She something ain"t she?" He saw me looking at Abbie.
"Yeah, she"s special." I said.
"You got it bad this time Watson." He taps my shoulders and walk away.
She"s drinking at the bar looking at the crowd and finished two glasses of margarita. Looking bored she stands up and head to the stairs and turns left at the direction of the balcony.
I follow her discreetly, she stands in the corner of the balcony looking at the view below. I walk cautiously towards her and hug her from behind. She"s startled at my gesture and jerks my hand but I hug her tightly.
"Abbie it’s me, please forgive me." I said when she tries to loosen my hold.
I inhale deeply and smell her familiar vanilla lavender scented hair.
"Let go off me Jake." She keeps on struggling.
"I"m not letting you go Abbie, not now, not ever!"
