Adam was finally at peace. Six months passed, after he started training students at the Gym. He felt much honored to continue Wang’s legacy. He was training students when some vehicles stopped in front of his Gym. Personals wearing black suits came out of those black vehicles and came inside the Gym. Adam was sitting at his chair. They came to him and one of them told him that they want to talk to him. Adam told him he is listening. He looked around and said I want to talk to you in private.

  Adam took him to a room inside. Others were standing outside. The guy wearing the black suit told Adam that his name is Marcus and he is a federal agent. He told Adam that he is here to tell him something that is a national secret and he can be a part of it and he can serve his nation for one more time. Adam said, ‘I am not interested.’

  Marcus looked at his face and then said, ‘Government is doing some experiment and the government wants you to be a part of it. The government wants the best of the best and you are the one we are looking for. Your strength, your mind power, and your skills are unmatchable and we are here to request you to come with us to Washington DC.’ Adam gave him an unconcerned look and said, ‘so you are done here, right.’ ‘Yeah, my job is done.’ Marcus replied. Showing him the way Adam said, ‘You can leave then.’ Marcus went outside and went to the main hall. Adam followed him and sat on his chair. Marcus looked around once again and then he looked at Adam and spoke, ‘It was nice meeting you. I hope we will meet again.’ ‘I hope not,’ Adam said this while looking him straight in the eyes.

   Marcus placed a card on Adam’s desk and left the building with his men and all the boys who were gathered around went back to their work.

  Later in the evening Adam went home and told what happened at the Gym. Sara listened to everything and then she said, ‘you should go. They chose you from all these soldiers. It is something of great honor. I think you should go there.’ Adam told her he will think about it.

   The whole night he was awake and he was thinking about the things Marcus said. He thought he had done so much for the country; he should step up one more time. Adam took Marcus’ card from the side table and read it. He thought he will call him tomorrow to tell him he is ready. He placed the card back on the table. Adam turned towards his wife and hugged her and closed his eyes.

  The next morning, he woke up and went to the bathroom. He took a bath and then went downstairs to the kitchen. Sara was still asleep. He made breakfast for both of them and took it upstairs to his bedroom. It was his routine. He made breakfast for both of them every morning. Sara was awake when he entered the room. He gave her the tea and placed breakfast on the bed.

    After they finished breakfast, Sara asked him,’ how is he going to contact them?’ Adam pointed towards the card on the side table. He told Sara that the agent left his card on the table when he was leaving.

Adam was feeling a little ashamed. He treated Marcus very rudely and now calling him to tell him that he is ready. It felt weird but a man has to do what a man has to do. He picked up the phone and dialed Marcus’ number. Marcus picked up the call and said, ‘hey, how are you? I thought you would never call.’ Adam with a trembling voice said, ‘I wanted to tell you I am ready to go to Washington DC.’ ‘That’s my boy,’ Marcus said, ‘I will pick you up from your house, today.’ Adam said, ‘no, no, I have some things to do today. I will come to your office tomorrow.’ Adam hanged up the call.

  Adam went to the Gym and gave the keys of the Gym to his friend and told him, ‘that he is going to Washington DC. Take care of the Gym after I am gone.’

  On the next day, he went to Marcus’ office. He had his luggage with him. Marcus gave him a smile and told him that they have a flight top DC in one hour. They left for the airport and then took their flight to Washington DC. From there they were escorted to pentagon in military vehicles.

  He was taken to a meeting room. Chief of Army staff was present there and there were some other Generals. They told Adam about the importance of this experiment. Adam inquired, ‘what this experiment is about.’ They told him that he cannot know about it yet but he will know about it before we run the experiment on you.

  Adam was taken to a close-by facility and Marcus introduced him with the scientists there. Marcus told him that they are going to examine your body before the experiment. They will run some tests on you. Adam was looking around in the facility it was a Lab. There were some weird machines present in the room. It looked like a scene from some science fiction movie.

 Marcus told him today you can rest. It will start tomorrow and thanks for serving your nation. Marcus told a soldier to take Adam to his room. Adam was taken to his room. Whole night Adam was not able to sleep. He was thinking about the coming day. He called his wife and talked to her over the phone. Sara told him everything will be alright.

   Adam was taken to the Lab the next day. They first took some blood samples. Then he was told to lie down on the chair in the center of the big room. They injected some serum in his body and placed something over his head. They Attached wires to his chest and finally covered his eyes.

   Adam was taken off the chair after some time and he was taken back to his room.

   Marcus came to his room the following morning and took him to the pentagon. Adam was briefed there about the experiment.

He was told that the government has been experimenting on this for a very long time. The work started soon after the Second World War. They experimented with it on animals. This will be the first time for a human trial.  The government wanted the best soldier they had so they can turn him into extraordinary.

  Marcus brought him back and accompanied him to his room. Adam looked confused. Marcus asked about it but Adam didn’t reply. Marcus told him that it will be alright. Tomorrow is a big day for him and his country. Marcus left his room. Adam was sitting on his bed thinking about the coming day.

   For the experiment, he was taken to a place outside the city. They checked his blood and took some scans of his body. He saw generals of top rank sitting there. They were here to see the result of this experiment.

   A scientist told Adam to take off his clothes except the underwear. Adam stripped to the underwear and gave his clothes to that person. He took his clothes and placed them on one side.

   They injected Adam with serums and he was told to get inside the pod in front of him. One of the scientists came near him and told him, ‘it will sting and you can pass out.’ Adam lay down in the pod. When they started the flow of current and injected him with some serum. Adam passed out. When he woke up everything was changed.
