Adam ran towards his home. He was shouting. A firefighter grabbed him from his back and kept him from going near the house. Adam sat there crying. He saw two firefighters coming out of the house. They had Wang Li with them. He ran towards the firefighter.

  They took Wang Li to the ambulance. He was alive and breathing. His right leg was burnt a little. One of the firefighters told the doctor that something fell on his leg and he might have a fracture in the leg.

  They took him to the hospital. The X-ray showed he had a fracture in his right leg. He was admitted to the hospital for thirty days.

  The next morning Sara and her mother came to the hospital. They asked about Wang Li’s health. Wang had little bruises on his face and arm. After sometime Sara and Adam told him about what happened in prom. Wang was very happy for them.

    Wang’s leg was getting better with each passing day. The doctor told him, ‘if he kept recovering like this, he can go back home earlier than a month.’ He asked the doctor, ‘when he will be able to fight in the ring.’ The Doctor told him, ‘it can take up to eight months to go back to the ring.’

  Adam never left him alone in the hospital. He was at his bedside the whole time. There was a television in the room. They used to watch movies and MMA fights together.

  One day Wang asked him, ‘what he wanted to do after high school?’ Adam said, ‘I haven’t decided yet but I was thinking about it lately.’ Wang Li asked, ‘so what do you have been thinking? Tell me, I might be able to help you make the decision.’ Adam said, ‘I want to go to the Navy. I love the sea and I love what they do. I want to become part of their elite squad. I want to become a Navy Seal.’ ‘That’s a very good decision. Why don’t you follow your dream? Why you are confused?’ Wang Li said. Adam replied, ‘I talked about it with Sara and she says that I should continue my studies. I should get admission at University.’ Wang was silent for some time then he shook his head like he was disagreeing with himself. After some time he said, ‘kid! I don’t know about studies and anything but one thing I know about his dream. You should follow your dream. Follow your heart and go with it where ever it takes you to. I followed my dream and see how happy I am. Even if one fails to achieve his dream, one doesn’t have regret that he didn’t try. So do what you want to.’

   Sara visited them in the hospital every day. One day they were talking about Adam and Sara’s relation. How they met each other and everything happened. Sara asked Wang Li, ‘why didn’t you married?’ Adam agreed with Sara and said, ‘I wanted to ask this to you for a very long time but never got the opportunity. Please, tell us why didn’t you marry?’  This question made him dejected. Adam saw his eyes became full of tears. Wang Li was trying hard to keep them inside. Wang didn’t reply to them.

   Sara saw it too and she went near him to show sympathy and to solace him.  Adam also went near him. They asked him, ‘what happened. Why you are sad? What is the reason behind these tears in your eyes?’ Wang Li didn’t reply he was just looking at the ceiling of the room. They again inquired about the reason for his sadness.

    Adam asked him, ‘did he love someone? Is that the reason for his sadness?’ Wang nodded trying to control his tears. He was just about to burst into tears. Adam never saw him like this. Wang Li asked them, ‘please, do not ask me this. Yes, I loved someone. I loved her more than anything in the world but then I lost her. It was my mistake, my own. She died saving me. Her last words were, “Wang never forget me but also never mourn me. I will be alive in your heart and in your soul. Wang, never mourn me. You will always smile when you will think about me.” That’s why I never get sad but today I was not able to control it. It just felt like I was drowning in water, suffocating.’ Wang took a pause and then he continued. ‘You guys now know why I didn’t marry anyone. My life belongs to her and I will meet her in heavens.’ Sara asked him, ‘can you tell us her name?’ Wang Li replied, ‘her name was Susan and she was pretty just like you.’

  After this, there was silence inside the room and Wang was looking at the ceiling of the room smiling. He was thinking about her. He was thinking about his love, Susan.

     Wang Li and Adam came back home after Wang was discharged from the hospital. House was also repaired and it looked good as new.

   Wang was not able to walk properly. He had plaster on his right leg. Adam helped him and took him to his room. He released a sigh of relief after sitting on his bed. Adam smiled at him. Adam asked him does he need something. Wang told him to bring a bottle of beer. ‘Twenty-five days in the hospital felt like an eternity without beer,’ Wang Li said.

  Adam laughed and went downstairs to bring beer for Wang. They enjoyed a beer together and then Wang lay down and went to sleep.

    Next day when Adam woke up and went to the small Gym they had in their home. He saw Wang there trying to lift a weight. He went to him and told him to stop doing this. The doctor told him not to exercise until he recovers. Wang looked at him with a very angry expression but he was the patient and a patient have to listen to what the doctor says.

    With passing time Wang’s leg healed and he again started training for his MMA fights. Adam passed high school and now he was thinking about the future. He was sure that he wanted to follow his dream. Since childhood he wanted to become a superhero and when he grew up. Adam realized there are no superheroes like those heroes in comics but there are heroes some superheroes of real life. They are called soldiers and they protect us from villains. This was the reason he was so motivated to become a soldier. After high school, he discussed this with Sara and told her he wants to be a Soldier. She didn’t agree first but when he told her what Wang said to him Sara finally agreed.
