OLIVIA As the taxi made a U-turn down my street, I leaned back in the seat, a soft smile curving at my lips. For the first time in days, maybe weeks, I felt something like happiness or at least relief. I didn’t expect today to go so smoothly. Certainly not leaving Dante’s office without one of our usual arguments. But closing his show? I shook my head. Dante was complicated, infuriating, and manipulative but despite all that, it was nice to see that he actually cared deeply for me.
