Chapter 6.

I ended up leaving my mom from the store, trying to save my ass from the recent encounter. I just don't want Lisa to fry me up again. We all know how much she was obsessed to her beloved boyfriend. Like hell, even if I am Lisa and I have a boyfriend who is as handsome as Justin, then I would not even let any girl come near him. But it is different in my case. I ended up dragging my ass to another cellphone store, particularly in the Apple store, to look for a good phone to use. "Oh, purple." I giggled as I walked towards the phone. The color really caught my attention and it is really pretty! I may not be the girliest girl that you may know but I have a weak spot for purple things. I decided to get it and I'll just use my credit card for this one. My mom ended up outside the store and she was standing there, laughing at me. "Why the hell did you even left me there?" She asked, her arms against her chest, but she is suppressing her laughter. "Do you like that boy? He is handsome so I won't be surprised if you like him." She giggled. I rolled my eyes and sighed, "No, mom. I do not like him. It's just his girlfriend is there with him and you even called him name even though he doesn't even know you. He might think that I had already told you about him, he might even get the wrong idea that I like him that is why my mom knows about him." My mom just laughed at me, "Don't be silly. Justin just smiled at me. He even waved hello to me, and the girl with him? That is his girlfriend? To be honest, you are prettier than her, you just need to flaunt your beauty more and.." "Mom, stop." And I raised the paper bag containing the phone that I bought, "And I already bought my phone, you owe me one!" I said. "Okay, then. Now, let's go to the eye glasses shop. We need to buy you new sets of spectacles." When we finally got home, I am surprised to find my brothers at home, playing some weird horror games and s**t. "Hey boys." I greeted them. "Hey!" They waved back at me then they proceeded with their business again. "Did you guys already had your dinner?" My mom asked them and they both shook their heads. Good thing that my mother has a very good maternal instinct and she bought seafood boil. "Okay then, I bought sea food boil. You should eat first." My brothers didn't spoke a thing so my mom walked towards the console and was about to switch off when,  "Noooo, mom! Okay, okay. We'll eat now. Just don't turn it off!" They chorused. I just laughed at them. Even though they are already professionals and doctors, they will always be kids at heart. "Get your asses up to the dining area so you can have your dinner." My mom demanded, but she looked at me and winked. My mother is really silly after all. I helped my mother prepare the dining area for my brothers. I sat with them and I only have a cup of tea with me while the rest of them proceeds to eat, "Did father wen't home today?" My brother, Aaron, asked. "I have no idea." I answered, "He's usually not home these past few months." It was true. Ever since my father accepted homicide cases, he became busier than usual. Although I know that this is part of his job, I really can not help it if I miss my father every now and then. "Let's just understand your father's situation. He is really caught up in a very big case and he needs to attend it more. He needs to be more hands on with it." Mom explained, as she sipped her tea. "He may not be always at home but he brings food to our table so we should just be thankful. I am sure that he will be home soon." "Mom, even though dad didn't accept that job, we were rich from the start, that is why you were able to send us to good schools for doctors." Angelo said, "It is just, not everything is about the money. We should be able to bond more. What more can he ask for, right? He is already bringing a good fortune to use before. He does not need a better money than that as long as we can live comfortably." I can feel Aaron's rants. He is the closest to our father that's why he is like that. I think he just missed dad, after all. Aaron is rarely home that is why he really wanted to bond more with dad. My mom just smiled at Aaron, "Okay, I will talk to your dad about that. I am sure that he will be moved about what you said." I know that our family is okay, but it will be better if we can still be together every now and then. "Just shut up and eat your lobsters, Aaron." Angelo said, " We need to finish the game before I do my charts." Hell, even though my brother is at home, he still needs to do his works. Of course, he is handling lives. He needs to be more present on his work. "Okay then, are you ready to lose again?" Aaron smirked. "Okay, boys. I think it would be better if you focus on your food first before your game or else I will throw your PS5 outside." That made them shut up. I was already in my room, trying to set up my new phone. I logged into my laptop and I messaged Irene. "I already have my phone!" I typed on the message bar. It was then a few seconds when Irene was able to respond. "That's good! NOW MESSAGE THAT GUY SO YOU CAN HAVE A BOYFRIEND ALREADY." She said and I ended up laughing. "Oh no, I won't. I need to do my assignments first. Books before boys, Irene." I typed. "You'll ended up being alone if you will stand by that f*****g philosophy. There is nothing wrong with saying HI to a guy that I know you like, right?" "Oh no, I don't like him." "Don't like him, my ass~" Irene responded. I mean, how can you like someone that you haven't even seen in person right? I mean, not the appearance but you need to know that person more before you like him, right? "I'll just do my assignments, I will update you if I already have the guts to message him, LOL." I sent the message and I turned off the laptop. My phone was already set up and I began doing my school works. I really do have the tendency to text him but I am just really stoping myself from doing so. "A text won't hurt, Alexandra." I whispered to myself. I grabbed my phone and I started to type a message. Hey, this is Alexa. Sorry for messaging super late. My phone was broken. I placed my phone on the table and noticed that it was already 11 in the evening. I am pretty much sure that Julian is sleeping now, or maybe he already found someone now. I chose not to wait for his reply as I continued to review my modules and did my assignments. "I need coffee." I murmured. I got up from my seat and started to stretch. My back is really killing me now. I am studying for almost 4 hours straight now. I went down to the kitchen and noticed some of the maids baking some cookies. "Hi!" I greeted them. "Good evening, Miss Alexandra. We're making oatmeal cookies, do you want some?" Cynthia asked. "Of course!" I smiled at them, "But only one piece, because I know that they are for you." This is the reason why some of the maids really loved our family. My parents allow them to cook whatever they like, as long as they will clean it afterwards. They had the habit of baking breads or cookies during the night, so when the morning comes, there will be freshly baked goodies for breakfast. "No, miss. Kindly take any that you like, so you can have something to eat during your study. Here is also a cup of coffee for you." Freda poured me a cup of coffee. They surely know me well now huh. "Thank you." I smiled at them and brought the food to my room. I was frozen when I saw my phone lighten up. I walked towards it and what I saw made my heart skip a beat. Julian calling...
