Andy is always a quiet one to not cause trouble, but when she is at home that is a whole different story. Her father is drunk and if something isn't done right, he beats her like that morning. Andy got up to make breakfast and ran to school so she wasn't late, but her father came home drunk and beat her.
Andy: Dad, stop that hurts, please, I need to get to school. If I'm late I will be in trouble. Please, I will get up earlier next time. Please stop you are going to kill me.
Andy's dad didn't care whether she lived or died. She, to him, was just a reminder of her mother that left when she was only six and now her dad blames her for it all and Andy has to endear it until she can get away from all of this.
Dad: You little b***h, if you're so worried about school, then go but don't come back. I want you gone, and I will kill you if you don't leave this house.
And just like that, she was left on the floor in pain and had to go to school bruised, then find a place to live, but she knew if she went to school she would get hell for the whole day, and she didn't feel like dealing with Noah's s**t today.
Noah was at school talking with his friends and told him that Andy wasn't at school yet, but he didn't care. Then, at that exact moment, his target came into view, but the way her face looked filled his desire to torment her, which he always enjoyed doing, but today felt a little different, and he didn't know why.
Noah:Hey little freak, miss me. I have a whole day of torment planned for you, so watch your back because I'll be around, and my first one is, oh, what happened to your face falling and bruising it or did your dad beat you?
When Noah talked about Andy's dad beating her, the stare she gave him made him think he had crossed the line, but why did he care about it? So Noah came up with the best idea. He was going to spread a rumor about her.
Noah:Hey boys, look at the bruised girl. I just heard that she is putting fake bruises on her to make people give her sympathy. It is horrible to do.
Noah's friends looked at him scared, and he didn't know why until he turned around to find a long scare above Andy's right eye and another one on her neck which had everyone staring, but she seemed not to care about it.
Jaiden: I heard that she got that scared of gang violence, but none can prove it. She always stays to herself.
Noah was there just watching her every move, and he could have sworn a tear went down her face, but he wasn't sure, but he made it his personal mission to find out what happened.
Andy knew for years that people had made up stories about the scares she had, but she didn't care what they thought, but she knew one day someone would find out what happened, and she was never going to let that happen, but this pest of a Noah was trying to be sneaky, which he was failing at.
Andy: I know that you are there, Noah, you might as well come out and tell me why you have been following me the whole day, or you can continue. I don't care.
Noah: Can I ask you a small question? It will be real quick, I promise, and I will go back to my daily routine of making fun of you. That's all.
Andy knew what the question was, and she wasn't going to answer his question, so Andy just kept on walking down the hall and went into her last class for the day, but she knew that Noah wouldn't give up, so easily he had always been obsessed with her since ninth grade, but she didn't care what he did.
Noah watched as she packed her stuff up for the day. Everybody knows that he has been obsessed with her since ninth grade, but it kills him if someone else hurts her and everyone knows why others leave her alone.
Kelly:Noah, are you going to the party tonight? I'm thinking about doing it at my house. If you want to come, it will be fun. I promise you always decline to say you are busy.
Noah:Look Kelly, I can't come im busy helping my mom, so leave me alone, will you plus your parties are always s**t so go away please.
Noah slept with Kelly one time, and now she has tried to be clingy, which he hates. Noah has other matters to deal with than a plastic surgery girl. He would rather date Andy over her and that said a lot, so Noah shook her off and left school only to find Andy under a tree looking horrible.
Noah:Hey freak, what are you doing out here and not in the school where it is warm and not cold?
Andy:if you had to go away and needed silence, where would you go?
Noah noticed a distant look in her eyes that didn’t fit right with him.
Andy:if you are going to just stare anyway and leave me alone for today, then you can get back to teasing me tomorrow.
Noah wanted to say something but decided against it because it felt wrong to do so.
Noah: OK freak, I’ll leave you alone for now, but remember I will be around waiting for the right moment, so watch yourself.
Andy:I know you will, so it doesn’t matter what you do. I’m used to being tortured.
Noah looked at Andy with his head turned to the side like he was trying to solve a puzzle that didn’t make sense to him. Then Andy just walked away.
