Everlasting

Chapter Three

Wynn’s POV

                        I take Cooper into my bathroom and shut the door. I get everything I need out and start treating the gash. He yelps when I touch it. “Maybe that will teach you not to fight with your roommate in my living room.”

“I’m sorry Wynn. He insulted me and I got upset.” Cooper says looking defeated.

“Obviously.” I roll my eyes at him.

“I’m really sorry. If anything is damaged, I’ll pay for it.” He looks up sweetly.

“What am I going to do with you?” I blow on the gash. 

I hear Cooper mumble something under his breath. I turn my head and look at him. He is looking down. I kneel in front of him and look up. I am staring right into those deep blue eyes. “What did you mumble?”

“It’s nothing.” His cheeks turn a slight shade of red.

I grab his right hand and hold it. I move closer to him. “What did you mumble?”

“I can think of a few things.” He looks me in the eye. 

Right at that moment I reach up and kiss him. I am never brazen. I never make the first move. Yet something tells me to. When my lips touch his it’s electric. A shock goes through my entire body. My tongue outlines his bottom lip then slides inside of his mouth. It is filled with such passion. Is this what it’s always supposed to be like?

                        I hear someone coming into my room and all I can think to myself is Bash will die if he walks in on this. I go to pull away, but Cooper won’t let me. He pulls me up off the floor and onto his lap. My legs wrapped around his waist. He pulls me as close as possible to him. There is a knock on the door. “Wynn, it’s Shelby. Is everything okay? Sebastian told me that happened.”

Cooper lets go of me so I can go to the door. “Yeah mom, I was just fixing Coop up.”

“Okay good. You’re still going out tonight?”

“Yes, that is the plan.

“Alright. Well just let me know when you leave.”

“I will. Love you.”

“Love you, honey.”

                        I turn back around and there stands Cooper looking at me. He kisses me and then pushes me up against the wall. A moan escapes my lips. I know he is smiling. I sense Sebastian entering the room as I break apart. Cooper looks at me funny, but I point at the door. There is a quick knock and Sebastian comes in. “Is everything okay?”

“Yeah he is going to live.” I say as I put up the supplies. 

“We should go Cooper, so we can get ready.”

“Sure,” Cooper says.

“Coop, give me your phone number and I’ll put my number in there in case you two start fighting again.” I wink at him where Sebastian can’t see me.

Cooper laughs. “Okay that’s a good idea.”

I put my number in his phone and hand it back to him.

                        I walk them downstairs. I hug them both. Cooper goes to get in the car while Sebastian stays to talk to me. “I’m sorry about the living room.”

“It survived. Both of you survived. All is good in the world,” I say. Wanting him to leave so I can call Ava.

“It will be better once I apologize to him.” Sebastian looks towards his car.

“That’s a good idea,” I say.

“Yeah, it is.”

“Okay I’ll see you at eight thirty.” Sebastian looks back at me. Smiling. 

“Yeah. Call if you need anything.” I’m leaning against the door.

“Okay. Be careful.”

I shut the door as he leaves and run upstairs to call Ava.

Sebastian’s POV

                        I shouldn’t have said that he was a w***e. I know he’s not one, but he struck a nerve. He’s aware of the fact that I like Wynn. Okay maybe not that I like her like her. I hold that close to my chest. Why? Why? Why? Because I was afraid of being rejected. Now though I’m vacuuming the living room and Wynn is playing nurse to Cooper. Something is wrong with this picture. 

                        I can’t wait any longer. He should be taken care of by now. Shelby is even home, and they aren’t done. I walk into the bathroom expecting to see something, but nothing is going on. That’s a good thing. I shouldn’t have thought that there was. Cooper isn’t Wynn’s type anyway. I just about died as she is giving him her phone number. What is going on here? 

                        “Man, I’m sorry about the whole w***e thing,” I say as we drive down the road.

“I didn’t think you’d freak out so badly about me liking her,” he says. He is looking out the window and I can tell he is annoyed with me.

“I’m just really protective of her. Like a big brother.” Tell another lie Sebastian. Lightning should strike at any moment.

“I get that.” He still won’t look my way.

“I shouldn’t have done any of that. My apologies.” 

“You are forgiven. I probably would have done the same thing.” Cooper looks at Sebastian.

“No you wouldn’t have.” I say in a small voice.

“You’re right. I wouldn’t have.”

                        We get to my house and get ready. I let him take a shower first while I figure out what to wear. Cooper will look perfect in whatever he wears. He is one of those guys who looks great regardless of the amount of effort he puts into it. I’m comfortable enough in my manhood to say that. I have to put a little bit of effort into it. Fixing my hair. Arguing over outfits. It just comes easy for him. It’s a bit annoying. 

                        I’m just about done getting ready and he is texting someone. I secretly wonder if it’s Wynn. I don’t ask. If it is, I'll just get upset and start another fight and we need to get to Katy’s house. He smiles at me, and we get ready to head out the door. I’m going to end up hitting him again tonight lord help me.
