The Broken Promise

Chapter 3

"Zane, let's go I'm f*****g hungry" As soon as his friend saw Zane he left the girl and came towards Zane. Zane simply nodded at him and turned towards the dining hall.

"Hello new handsome general" Suddenly a girl came from nowhere and blocked his path. He looked down and met with the pair of emerald eyes.

Luciana smiled brightly at the man in front of her and spread her arms, preventing him from walking past her. Luciana saw him raise his eyebrows while looking at her with a questioning look. Without speaking Zane tried to walk away but again his path was blocked by the girl.

"You caught my attention so you're mine now" Suddenly Zane looked at her with a shocked face and Lucinaa wrapped her hand around his muscular arm as she looked up at him while showing her pearl white teeth to him.

"Move" Zane pressed his lips together and said with a calm tone because he was just uncomfortable and it was the first time a woman wrapped an arm around his.

"No. have dinner with me" Luciana dragged Zane towards the dining hall as she smiled at him.

"Hey girl, What's your attitude? You can't touch him like that" Zane's friend spoke as he frowned at Luciana.

"Are you a monkey? Why jump into other people's businesses? You have really hateful attitudes." Luciana's words slapped across Shawn's face and Zane forced himself not to laugh at his friend. Meanwhile, Lina was rubbing her forehead because of her friend's dumb actions. Lucy, you're giving me a headache. Lina thought as she followed her friend into the dining hall.

"Princess Lucy I see, you're with my son" Luciana's face turned red as she heard Uncle Henry's voice.

"You're annoying" Luciana murmured against Zane's arm and looked at Henry.

"I was about to introduce my son to you Lucy, now there's no need for that" Henry spoke as he smiled at Luciana and Zane.

"Let go" Zane spoke as he tried to shake Luciana's hand away.

"Nooo…" As soon as he did that Lucinda looked up at him and pouted with a cute expression and Zane's heart melted because of the look she gave him. He felt his heartbeat getting fast because of the girl who was with him.

"Let's have dinner princess Lucy" Henry smiled and said as he gave a warning glare towards Zane. Zane clearly knew the meaning of his father's glare. Why does his father like this girl this much? Zane questioned himself.

As they sat for dinner, Luciana sat next to Zane but her hand was still around his arm. Zane looked at Lucy and found she was biting her lips while looking up at him.

"Move" He again said as Luciana shook her head and hugged his arm tightly. Luciana slowly entangled her fingers with his and caressed his hand in a lovely yet playful way. Her hand was tiny against his hand. Zane's heartbeat was ridiculously fast and he didn't know how to react. All he could feel was her soft and delicate hand. Zane wanted to retract his hand because he was feeling weird because of the girl next to him but he just couldn't make her upset and especially he didn't want to.

"Luciana and Lina, here you are." Luciana turned and looked at her parents frowning at her. She smiled forcefully and squeezed Zane's palm.

"I came to have dinner with uncle Henry and Zane" Luciana simply told her parents and smiled brightly at Zane. So he was dealing with his president's daughter. Zane sighed and stood up from the chair as he greeted them.

"Is she bullying you Zane?" Luciana's father asked as he pulled a chair out for her mother. Then both of them sat down and looked at Zane's face.

"No.. right?" Luciana pulled Zane's arm and made him bend down then she kissed his cheek and asked, leaving him dumbfounded. Did she just kiss his cheek in front of her parent's and also his father? Zane immediately moved away and looked at everyone who was looking at him with shocked faces.

"Luciana, behave" Luciana's mother said with a strict voice and it made Luciana pout cutely.

Dinner went smoothly.

Luciana's parents had to attend a meeting so they left with Henry while leaving Luciana and Lina with Zane and Shawn.

As soon as they left Lucianna looked at Zane and smiled as he quickly looked away and turned to leave.

"Hey Zane, stop" Luciana said as she strode towards him and blocked his path. He stopped and looked down at Luciana and raised his brows. That made Luciana's heartbeat go wild.

"I want your coat. Give me" She pointed her finger at his uniform and said.

"No." Only one word and Zane turned to leave but Luciana again didn't let him go. She grabbed his arm and made him look at her again.

"I will be your future wife so give me your coat" Luciana bit her lower lip and said. Zane watched her for a while and sighed.

"How old are you?" Zane asked her and as soon as he asked Luciana's cheek turned pink. She started to blush.

"Nineteen.I'll be twenty soon" She raised her chin and looked at Zane with a proud look. Zane chuckled because of her action.

"Go home and study kid" Zane bent down and poked Luciana's cheek gently and sighed. Kid?

"I'm not a kid. You are the kid here" Luciana poked his cheek and said. Zane sighed and looked at her for a while as his heart filled with an unknown feeling.

"Give me the coat" Luciana grabbed his coat. Zane unbuttoned and took off his coat as he placed it on Luciana's shoulder. He knew there was no way for him to go without giving it to her. Luciana felt butterflies in her stomach and she looked up at Zane. She didn't expect him to place it around her. He was wearing an army green shirt and it showed his masculine clearly. She smiled at him and touched the badges on the coat.

"Are these for me too?" She asked him while inhaling his scent that the coat was spreading.

"No. I want them back" With that Zane took off the badges from the coat and put all them into the pockets in his pants.

"You left one" Luciana said as she looked at the badge on the coat. She thought he missed it because there were too many badges.

"You keep it." Zane said as he turned to leave but again Luciana grabbed his hand and looked at him with a smile.

"What?"
