My phone vibrated when I woke up. It was already seven a.m. when I looked at the clock on the wall of my room. I hadn't realized I'd already passed out on the couch. Matthew had left me various notes and phone calls, which I noticed. Since last night, he seemed to have been contacting me nonstop. However, I was so exhausted from the party that I slept on the couch. I just called him to let him know. Today I am getting ready for work. I have a lot of work to accomplish in the office. And the celebration from yesterday had been draining me up until now. According to what my parents have told me, I'll be Mrs. Pendleton in no time, which has been bugging me since last night. When Ari entered my room, she said, "Good morning, Tally!" I've finished taking a bath all I have to do now is get ready and change my clothing. My handmaiden chose the clothes for me and prepared them. But I still have to choose between these two outfits for today's meetings. This was a typical morning for me. I spend a lot of time deciding what to wear and what kind of design would be appropriate for the occasion. People were following my family's every move, so I couldn't just wear anything I wanted. For them, we're like a good show to watch. I decided to wear a sky blue A-cut dress. It seemed to be appropriate for my today's slew of meetings. "Hello, Tally,"  She greeted me once more. Is it because I didn't answer to the first one that she did that on purpose? "Ari, good morning. Are you all right? You appear to have fled from somewhere else, "I inquired of her. She was panting like she was being chased. "I'm OK. Before coming up here, I just ran a few lapsed. Are we about to leave?" She attempted to steer the conversation away from the subject of herself. I just shrugged and walked outside with her. At the table, I even noticed Dad and Mom. But I made an effort to ignore them. I was still reeling from what I had heard the night before. My father will not let me chose my own life, no matter how much I cry in a river. People were gathered around a television near the entryway as I arrived at the Stevenson building. Ari and I come to a halt to observe the new ad sales that have been put.  When I saw their newest model, my jaw practically dropped. He's the guy that approached me and asked if he could court me. Matthew Ventura is a model. On the lower section of the television, his name was boldly written. As a result, I always see him wherever I go. He's working as a model for our company. Is this what he got from my father? Is this the same compensation he boasted about the last time we spoke? I continued walking inside my office, and I never imagined that man would have the courage to show up in my father's firm and fight for me till the end. "Tallulah," he said. "Tallulah Stevenson?" he shouted.  My bodyguard spun around and wrapped their arms around me, as if he was about to attack me. "It's all right, his, my friend. Mr.Ventura, what do you need?" I inquire, attempting to maintain my poker face and remain unaffected by his behavior. In my nervousness, my heart feels like it's jumping out of my rib cage. I noticed how his jaw flexed as he stared at me. Let's see how you react to me. I dare you, Matthew Ventura. He offered me a flower and said, "For you." "With my first wage here, I purchased it. I've previously stated that I intend to court you, and I intend to do so." I laughed out loud. "Do you want to court me? How? Mr.Ventura, save your money for yourself. I'm going to be married soon, so seek a girl who can feel the same way you do "Before I turned away, I uttered and smiled sadly at him. But, just as I was about to walk away, I heard a word that made me freeze and smile. "I'm going to take you away from him. Tallulah Stevenson, I promised I'd make you mine "He exclaimed confidently. From the top of the building, I could see how my father tightened his jaw in response to what we saw and heard. You heard correctly, Dad; someone will take me away from you, and I eagerly await that day. Dad walked into my office as soon as I walked in. "Is that the guy you were interested in?"  See, I don't have any doubts about how they become so wealthy. Even from distance, they can assess the situation. "I'm not making any mistakes, Dad. He irritates me. He has just expressed his feelings for me. Do you want me to take care of his emotions? It's not bad, and he appears to be a good guy—" A slap landed on my cheeks before I could finish mocking him. "Does that make you happy, Dad?" I c****d my head and smirked. When I think about that arranged marriage and the plans for me, I lose all sense of self-control. As Dad turned away from me as if nothing had happened, I tightened my fist. That regardless of what I do, I will marry the person they chose. As my secretary walked in, I sat shakily. "Someone gave it to me, Ms. Tally," she explained as she placed a paper bag in front of me. "Thank you so much, Bea. Is it possible for you to get me an ice pack? Thank you very much." I grabbed the paper bag she was carrying and squeezed it as I walked away. Bea brought a sandwich bag, pasta, and coffee. There is no indication of who it comes from because there is no name written on it. Matt, on the other hand, pasted a letter to my coffee. "I hope it comes in handy after I've ruined your day." After reading his note, I bite my lower lip. Later, I noticed him calling my call. He's making his way, isn't he? I'm curious as to how far he'll go to persuade me to say yes. I can't help but smile when I see the food in front of me and the note on my computer, despite being overwhelmed by the number of meetings I have. A little reminder that he brightened my day. It makes me nervous to pick up the phone. "Please accept my apologies if I have irritated you. I'm also remorseful for something I did a while ago." "Didn't you say you're serious?" I mocked him because he appears to be remorseful of his actions. "Yes, Tally, I'm serious about you." I couldn't help but smile because I knew how he'd react. I appeared to admire him more earlier, when he stood in front of me with all the people present.  He inquired, "Can I see you?" I put my phone aside and covered my mouth with my hand to keep this exciting sensation from taking over me. I believe my heart skipped a beat as a result of what he said. That's how I'm feeling right now because of him. Everything is brand new to me, and I'm not used to it. But it appears that I'll have to grow used to these since if he does manage to woo me, I'll always be like this. "You knew you couldn't visit me whenever you wanted," I said, clearing my throat. "I'm aware, but I'd like to give it a shot. At least for the time being." What's not to enjoy about this guy? He never tires of reaching me, and he appears ecstatic that he is capable of doing anything for me. Oh my God, Mom, if this goes on much longer, I'm going to do a sin you won't like. "It's entirely up to you! But it's not my fault if my bodyguards apprehend you "I responded to his question. But I secretly hoped he'd be capable of achieving the things I hadn't anticipated. Women like men who work hard to get them, like the one I always see on television. I was busy all day with my other meeting. I leaned back in my chair and closed my eyes for a moment. "I said I don't want to receive a guest first. I want to rest first," I whispered as I closed my eyes. "I'm sorry. Did I bother you? I'll just come back when you're not busy." I was immediately shocked to hear that, and Matthew's awkward face appeared to me. "Matthew .." "I'm sorry. I'll be right back. I know you're tired but--" "How did you get in here?" wondered if it sounded like him and immediately peeked out of my office before locking the door. "Your bodyguards are easy to escape. They are not that attentive." "Do I need to change a new bodyguard?" I asked him. "Did you eat? I brought some snacks," he said before making me sit in the receiving area. In recent weeks Matthew has continued to woo me as he says. And it's funny that he escapes my bodyguards quickly. Even at home, he can get away, especially when he's visiting me. I can't go out so often he comes here at home or in the office to see me or bring something. This is the first time someone has persuaded me, and he barely filled my heart with happiness. I turned to the window when I heard a knock there. As I parted the curtain, Matt's face lit up as I smiled, and I waved. We talked about meeting at the mall, but I could not leave. Because Ari didn't accompany me, she said she was going somewhere. "Have you eaten yet? I brought your favorite." He was always here at home, so he knew the detour outside the mansion. Of course, he can't be here inside because there are a lot of hidden cameras here. Dad was so suspicious of the people he met. "Wait, come on. Say ahh," as he ordered me to eat. Even at eleven o'clock in the evening, we still ate the food he brought. Honestly, I don't eat anymore because eating like this will make me fat more. That's what my nutritionist ordered, so I avoid eating at this time. But because he brings food, I eat it too. "Tally, are you still awake? Did something fall in there?" Matthew and I were stunned when Mommy suddenly knocked. I was so disturbed that I bumped the glass. "It's just the glass, Mom. I just made a mistake. It fell." Immediately I told Matt to hide first Mommy might suddenly come in. I did not make a mistake when the door suddenly opened. "Are you okay? Aren't you injured?" She asked as she looked at the shattered glass on the floor. "I'm fine, Mom." She was about to leave but was immediately startled to see the food on the table. "Are you eating?" She frowned at me. "Yes. I suddenly crave, do you like Mom?" I asked her to divert her attention. "No. I don't eat carbs. You should be avoiding that one too." I do the same way she does everything to be thin. But nothing seems to be happening. I'm getting fatter on this diet. "Why do you like me? I mean, I'm not sexy, I'm still fat, so among--" I turned to him. We sat on the floor and leaned on the bed. It seems more comfortable here. "You're beautiful," he frowned when he looked at her. "You're beautiful inside and out. You don't have to lose weight to be noticed by people. I love you enough." I do not know if this man is telling the truth. Or is he earnest? It seems that what he is saying is not credible. But when he brought his lips closer to me, I did not refuse, but I still closed my eyes. I felt every kiss he was making. I was not aware that there was a kiss that was more than appropriate. I was even embarrassed when my lips followed his movements when our lips separated. I was so bitten by shame. "I know what I did was forbidden. But I also want to do that." He has been courting me for a month. Dating that I want to end because I am not that beautiful to act like that anymore. All I know is that I am happy that he is with me, and he makes me happy. "Matthew, when I suffered from the poorest and lost all of this, will you still love me?" I think my heart almost stopped beating with that question. My breathing seemed to depend on that answer. For a moment, he was stunned as if he had lost the answer to me. "O-of course." I smiled sadly. Sorry Mom, but I will still take the risk of this love. This happiness makes me feel alive for a moment. The love that I always wanted was already in front of me. So I will grab this chance to experience how to be adored by someone who is not just my family. "Will you still like me even if I have nothing?" I continued. "Your wealth is not important to me. All I need is you, Tally. All I need is the girl I loved, not what you have," he said as if confessing on something. "Then love me until you get tired of me. Until you realize that I am not the girl you wanted anymore."
