Chapter 16 Hunter awakened to bright light. Like a child he hurried to the window to look out at the snow, which was coming down in enormous, fluffy flakes. The landscape before him was blinding white, reflecting the brilliant sun. The only dabs of color here and there were the browns and greens of trees. Even though he had grown up in Chicago and been through his share of snowy winters, he was still awed by Wisconsin and its snow. It had been two months since Hunter had his discussion with Michael, and in that time Hunter had managed to live in peace.
