Mine

*Cain* I walked through the forest, alert. There was straggler vampires remaining, having fled into the coverage once their leader was defeated by the Silverwood pack, the destination of our journey. Without a leader of the coven and lack of blood, these vampires had turned rabid and frenzied. I was more than happy to put an end to them, but my warriors accompanying me were a worry. Not all of them had fought vampires before, and one ruled by bloodlust was not the best practice.  I had gotten the message that Silverwood was attacked two days ago. I had left straight after however these blood sucking leeches had been causing a headache, already killing two of my men. We were nearly at the pack border and there had been less attacks as we neared it.  Up head I heard the sound of footsteps. I stilled in my pace, my men falling in around me, waiting. Before long a group of wolves came out of the trees. The leader of the small group knelt towards me, angling his neck, as a sign of respect and I nodded my head, letting him know he could shift before we talked.  Half the wolves walked behind trees, a minute later returning covered.  "Alpha, we are warriors of the Silverwood pack and have come to escort you and your men to our pack house. Please follow us."  I nodded my head once again in understanding before myself and my men shifted into our wolves and followed the pack members to their main house. I looked around and noticed my wolf towered over the others present. Hearing my thoughts, Blaze, shook out his fur, making us appear even larger and snarled in pride. I rolled my eyes but couldn't help feeling powerful amongst these other wolves. Blaze was large, even for an alpha. He radiated strength and power, was the perfect combination of lean and fast for speed and agility yet large and muscular for brute force and stamina. His fur was pitch black, blending with the darkest shadows, and he had the brightest green eyes, a poisonous shade of emerald that were eliminated in contrast with his fur.  We arrived at a large stately house, where I followed the wolves actions and went behind a tree, dressing in my jeans and shirt that were tied to my back leg. You could see the signs of a war on the beautiful landscape, deep claw marks in trees, dark patches on the ground, burnt areas with the lingering smell of singed fur and the disgusting smell of vampires. "I can smell the death." was Blazes voice ringing through my head. It was true. Although I had gotten the notice that Silverwood needed aid and I knew there would be casualties, the stench of death lingered in a way that suggested many had perished here.  I looked towards the house once again and noticed the smell of three different packs present. Well looks like I wasn't the first to arrive. Other packs' warriors talked with Silverwood members, patrolled the area and rested. I let my alpha aura out, unrestrained, as we walked towards the entrance. Other wolves bowed their heads to me in acknowledgement making a small smirk grace my face.  I quickly regained composure as we reached the steps to the large double wooden doors, already open and inviting. I turned towards my men before addressing them. "Rest and eat, I need you to regain your strength. Join the patrols, we are here to aid and I do not want to be caught in another attack. Link me if there is anything urgent." I got a mix of "Yes alpha" replies before I dismissed them and facing the pack member who stood with me at the steps. "Alpha Cain, please follow me to the study where the our Alpha and two neighbouring alphas are already present. There is food and drinks there for you." I shook my head in understanding as we continued down the corridor, past a large lounge room and dining room. Chatter and a delicious smells wafted from what I assumed to be a kitchen to my left as we turned right. As we neared a large wooden door another smell overwhelmed the cooking food and became stronger as the pack member knocked before leaving. I grasped the handle as the smell of roses and summer rain stole my focus. I strode through the door and met the gaze of the people within. I felt the aura of three other alphas. The first was obviously a warrior. The large rippling muscles and deep scars screamed experience. He was shorter than me and quite older too, however I knew he would be more than capable of putting up a good fight against me.  The other male alpha present was more refined, dressed smartly and styled as though he hadn't journeyed through the forest like I know he would have. I wanted to write him off, the uppity posture and fashion, however I could sense how calculating he was. I knew what he lacked in brute strength he would make up for in strategy and accuracy.  The last alpha was the one of my interest. Her scent of rose and summer rain was even more intoxicating in the room and something I could easily get drunk on. Her aura screamed power and strength that was young and free spirited, controlled and channeled it would dominate and suppress the others present. She had an amazing figure, a body honed by training and combat, tanned skin over delicate, defined muscles. Her hair was a rich chocolate colour, her lips full and pink, rosy cheeks and dark sculpted eyebrows.  Then I met her eyes. Her beautiful eyes. Her entrancing eyes. Her eyes that sparkled with life and danced with shifting colours. A swirl of green, brown and blue met mine and I was addicted. I began to feel the pull towards, the overwhelming desire to have her, possess her and be with her.  "She's ours." Blaze whispered in my mind. But he left no room for doubt despite the tone. It was a strong statement. One I agreed to wholeheartedly. I felt the corner of my lip tug up as I imagined all the things I was going to do with this woman in front of me, all the things we would do. And there was only one thing left to claim. "Mine." I saw her eyes widen, her lips part slightly, as I strode towards her, placing my hand on her cheek. She nuzzled into my palm and I felt unstoppable, untouchable, with her in my touch. She was everything I needed, wanted, desired, and I just had to make one thing clear. "Hello my little wolf, my name is Alpha Cain and you are my mate."
