*Calypso*
Before I could let Alpha Zane and Alpha Liam know of the new arrival, Wyatt came through the office door, followed by men with chairs and a table. As the men placed the table and chairs near the couch, Wyatt approached my side. I looked towards the alphas watching me intently and opened my mouth to let them know of the new development.
"Another alpha has arrived to provide aid, and take pack members." announced Wyatt.
So much for me letting the other alphas know, I shot Wyatt a look and sent a message to him through the mind link.
"We all can hear the pack link you know."
I hoped it sounded sarcastic and Wyatt offered me a sheepish smile in apology. He gave me the report from the doctor on our current injured members, consisting of their injuries and medical needs.
"If you could please follow me to the table we can have a proper look at our full records," I respectfully asked.
"Of course little one," Alpha Zane replied, causing me to shake my head in protest.
His booming laugh sounded once again, "You are still a little one, Miss Ellwood." The contagious smile faltered.
"Your dad would be proud Cal," he said in a much quieter voice. Despite us all being werewolves and the fact that the shift in tone did not stop the others present from hearing, it was nice to get the support and reassurance in this unstable time.
"I want him to be," I said quietly back as we took our places at the table. I spread out all the records and reports on the table, Zane and Liam bringing out notebooks and their own records on available housing and summaries on their own members and services. A harsh knock sounded at the door before it was pushed strongly open.
The first thing that hit me was the smell. The overpowering earthy scent of sandalwood mixed with the strong masculinity of musk overwhelmed my senses. I felt Moon become alert, all our focus on the person entering.
And in he walked. He had black tousled hair that was thick and styled by the wind. His eyebrows were matching in darkness and arched down in a serious expression. His face was strong and perfectly sculpted, symmetrical features moulded from granite. His eyes were a dark green, like the shadows casted within a deep forest, and as such hid mysteries from sight in the lack of light. He was just taller than the other two alphas present and muscular too, a body of a warrior without Kane's scars and the stance of a man observing the weaknesses of those around him, and how best to use it. The powerful aura surrounding him screamed alpha and dominated the room.
As his gaze swept the room, his eyes slowly crept to me. Each second felt like a decade as I waited for contact. My body tensed as soon as I felt his eyes land on my hands and dance over my body, bringing tingles with it, making its way towards my eyes.
And then they met. As soon the deep green globes connected with mine I felt the pull towards him. The urge to submit to him, to be with him, to be wanted by him. The corner of his lips lifted upwards in a small smirk as a single word left his mouth, one that meant so much to me.
"Mine."
My knees felt weak and within a blink of my eyes he was before me his hand on my cheek. I leant into his palm, warmth radiating throughout my body with his closeness. I couldn't remember where I was, who I was with, nothing was more important than the man in front of me.
He shifted towards me and his deep velvety voice reached my ears, "Hello my little wolf, my name is Alpha Cain and you are my mate."
