I'm from your past Sapphire✓

After having a walk, we went back to our room, we had a timetable on our doors of our everyday schedules. I entered my room, took my bath, had my already served dinner and slept.

I dressed up and came out for sports. Today was basketball, I went to the field to see Jeffrey's team playing basketball while their coach kept yelling at the top of voice telling them what to do. I sat by Vanessa and Matilda and watched them play.

"Evan and Aiden are good players." I said.

"Yes, but you forgot to mention Jeffrey."

"Nah.. he is not good at all." Vanessa replied.

"Oh.. I see the feud."

"Yeah you saw right." We both said.

"I get the reason they are evil." Matilda admitted.

"Exactly!" We chorused.

"Jinx!"

"Hang on." Matilda said and stood up. Our eyes followed her, she ran into her room and came out.

"Come on let's go buy some flowers." She said and pulled us and we ran with her. We kept taking photos with Matildas camera. We came across Gabe and we begged him to take some group pics and he did. We thanked him and took our camera to continue our journey to buy flowers. We got to a flower store and entered.

"Bon.. boun..jour..e." Vanessa said.

"Buy flowers." We were trying to demonstrate to the seller that we wanted to buy flowers. Matilda picked a bouquet.

"How much?" She asked waving money.

The seller looked at us and burst into laughter. We stared at her wondering what was amusing her.

"You don't have to worry, I speak English."

"Oh! I understand why you were laughing, we must have looked so funny."

"Yeah you were, but it's okay. And by the way, it's not bounjoure, it's bonjour." She corrected.

"Pardon me." Vanessa apologized.

"It's okay."

"Thanks. Bonjour!" Vanessa said.

"That's better. By the way, I'm Flower."

"Like.. your name is Flower?" Matilda asked.

"Yeah."

"Whoa! Flower who sells flowers!" I said and we all laughed.

"My dad is American and my mom is French. My family stayed in the US until my parents divorced, so I came with my mom here."

"Sorry." We chorused as we admired the flowers.

"It's okay. What about you girls?"

"My mom and dad are American." I said.

"My parents are British." Vanessa said.

"Oh! that explains the accent." Flower said.

"I'm American too?" Matilda said.

"So wanna know why I'm called flower?"

"Why?.." We all asked.

"My mom gave birth to me in a garden."

"Really? All by herself?" Matilda asked surprised.

"Yeah, she believed the flowers gave her a magical strength to give birth to me, so she named me Flower."

"Whoa!.. what a mystery." Vanessa said.

"Yeah, I also grew up to love flowers as well." She added.

"Flowers can also be magical, I grow them and they are beautiful and refreshing to the eyes, that's enough magical powers don't you think?"

"Yeah.." Flower agreed.

"So what are you girls here for?"

"We wanted to get some flowers." Matilda answered.

"Okay. Have this.. have this.. and have this." She said and handed us a bouquet each.

"How much?" Matilda asked.

"Free.. I give you for free."

"Really? Thanks!" Matilda and Vanessa embraced her, but I just stood there, I found Flower a little bit strange.

"May you all find the love you seek." She said to us.

"Love? Why do you sound like a fortune teller all of a sudden?" Vanessa asked.

"You may not know." Flower answered.

"Okay bye Flower, we'll come visit you later!" Vanessa said and she and Matilda left.

I walked out to join them.

"The powers are too strong, strong enough to kill you and make you." Flower said bringing me to a halt.

I turned around and walked to her.

"I knew there was something fishy about you? Who are you? And why do you speak about powers? What do you know?" I said in a whisper.

"I'm someone who might have answers to your questions Sapphire."

"How do you know my name?"

"I've been watching you recently and your soul knows your name, so I saw through your soul."

"Who are you?" I asked looking closely at her, I felt there was something hidden about her.

Flowers body shone and then someone else stood before me. That woman, the woman I bumped into the day Jeffrey chased me. The one with the long brown hair, blue eyes and was so beautiful, she still had her white aparel on.

"You.. I've met you before, at my school, I bumped into you right?"

"Hmm.."

"What do you want? And where do you come from? Why are you dressed like this?"

"I'm from your past Sapphire."

"Past? What past?"

"Your life didn't start here Sapphire, you started as Halyn."

"Halyn? That name sounds so familiar each and every time."

"Because that was your name. In the past."

"Past, present, I don't get!"

"That's why we need to sit and talk."

"About what? How do you expect me to talk to someone whose name is Flower and later turned out to be a person who may be from my past dressed in a weird clothing? And said I'm Halyn?!"

"Deep inside, you can feel our connection Sapphire, that's why you are not scared of me."

"I don't care to know whatever you are, but I don't want to ever see you again. I am Sapphire and not some stupid Halyn, so let's leave it that way." I said walking out.

"You are scared of the truth, but you have to accept it and live with it, because that's what you are Sapphire."

I stopped but took a few steps to continue.

"I don't have much time, and neither do you either, that power could destroy you if you don't know how to use it. You are deteriorating Sapphire, your time is running out and only I can help you."

I walked out trying to pretend I didn't hear anything, I walked back to where Vanessa and Matilda sat.

"Where have you been Sapphire?" Vanessa asked.

"I.. I was talking to Flower."

"Flower? Is that a person's name?" Matilda asked.

"Yeah.. Flower, we met her.."

A thought stroke my mind, Flower must have made them totally forget about her.

"The bouquet, who did you buy them from?" I asked to confirm my thoughts.

"Sapphire? Are you growing old and loosing memory, we bought it from the man in that flower store. You were also there too, that's why you have flowers in your hand!" Matilda answered.

Man.. Flower manipulated them to think she was a man.

"Come on sit here?" Vanessa said tapping the space besides her.

I sat on the floor

"Go Evan! Whoa!" Vanessa yelled waving with a few sticks of flower in her hand.

"Go Aiden! Go Evan!" Matilda yelled.

"Come on Sapphire say something?" Vanessa pushed me with her shoulders.

I pulled out some sticks of flowers.

"I love you Evan!!" I yelled waving when I realized what I had just said.

Evan stopped when he heard Sapphire's voice. Did she just say she loves me? He turned and he and Sapphire's eyes met.

"As your favorite fan!" I yelled again to counter my words.

"Yes! Go Aiden! Go Evan!" Vanessa yelled after me.

"Why do I get the feeling that Jeffrey is jealous that we are cheering for his friends not him, just look at his face?" Matilda said.

Jeffrey kicked his leg in annoyance.

"Oh my gosh! I can't believe that such silly thing can get to Jeffrey, now I've found out, he should be up for it." Vanessa said and we all laughed.

"Go Aiden! Go Evan! Go Aiden! Go Evan!" We all chorused in rhythm. Vanessa stood up and began dancing to the rhythm.

Aiden scoffed while Evan smiled. They both looked at Jeffrey, it was getting him annoyed. It was the first time they ever saw him annoyed for something so trivial.

After basketball rehearsals, we all had a feast for lunch and went back to our lounge to have rest for the next sport.

The next morning, my alarm rang putting me up. I came out of my room still on my night cloths. I read the days schedules pinned to my door, it was car racing. I walked in and took my bath and got dressed. I came to see breakfast had already been served. After having breakfast, I came out and went to Vanessa's room, she was dressed already. We came out to meet Matilda and we laughed. We journeyed to the racing ground.

The race began, Aiden represented the blue team, while Gabe represented the green team.

The practice was tough, no one was willing to loose, if this one was behind at first, then he would be forward the next.

"Gabe is good!" I admitted as we watched them from the fifth floor through the glass.

"Yeah he is." A junior student added, I could see love all over her.

"He is so cute!" Another added.

"I know.. I know.. please go that way?" Matilda said and pointed to another space away from us and they left.

"Thank you." She added.

"Come on, they are free to crush on the guy, besides he is actually cute." Vanessa said.

"Yeah he is."

It was a draw, no one came first, it was surprising.

The next day, we had swimming practice Luke represented the green house while Gori represented the blue house.

The next day was track racing and relay race. Sheila ran for the green house while Mark ran for the blue house.

The relay race, Josh, Gavin, Cara, Ashley.

The green house, Sebastian, Charlotte, Troy and Gabrielle.

The next day, we had horse racing. Jeffrey took the horse racing for the blue team while Johnny for the green team.

I Vanessa and Matilda sat on the floor watching.

I yawned.

"I can't believe Paris is so boring." I said.

"Why won't it be when we are confined to staying in this manor." Vanessa added.

"I am tired of sleeping waking up to cheer for Aiden and Evan, having dinner and going back to sleep again repeating everything again. Matilda added.

The horse race began, and our eyes followed them.

Jeffrey always took the horse race, he was very good at it. The horse race, Car race and high jump had the highest marks in the competition, If one was lost, you could bet that there was a thin line to win the competition.

Jeffrey's horse ran very fast and was five meters away from Johnny's.

As I watched Jeffrey's horse, I felt so dizzy, a vision flashed in my eyes of girl, wearing an apparel, holding a sword, riding a horse. The vision disappeared. My heard throbbed in pain. I held my head, the world felt like it was upside down. I fell, before I could get to the ground, Vanessa caught me.

"Sapphire!" She screamed attracting everyone's attention.

They all turned to me.

Gabe, Evan and Aiden ran to me with Miss Mia while the other students followed.

I felt Aiden out his arm at my back and placed my head on his chest, Miss Mia checked my temperature while the others just watched.

"I'm fine.. I'm fine." I kept saying but no one was paying attention to me, I tried to sit up but Aiden held me back in place. My eyes were shut the whole time while I held my head. I couldn't open my eyes, I could feel it was glowing and no body should see that. Vanessa kept crying like a kid. While Jeffrey and Johnny walked to us on their horse.

"Oh no look! she is nose bleeding!" She screamed in tears.

I touched my nostrils, it was wet, it was blood, but I couldn't open my eyes to see, my eyes were glowing. I had difficulty in breathing.

Evan held Vanessa's hand up.

"Your friend will be fine. So please stop crying."

"Hm.. "Vanessa nodded severally while Evan dropped her hand gently.

"Sapphire open your eyes! I need to see your eyes." Mia said.

"Miss Mia, I'm fine."

"Don't be stubborn Sapphire!" She said and forced my eyes open. Examining it. I heaved a sigh of relieve. My eyes turned normal just before she opened it. After her examinations, Aiden helped me sit up.

"Have you been having a good sleep?" She asked me.

That was something I couldn't answer, I was in a beautiful city like Paris, but I didn't leave my nightmares in America, I brought it with me.

"Um.. I...I sleep." Was all I could say. I could only sleep in the day time so, that means that I sleep.

My eyes met Jeffrey's. He gave me a you are lieing kind of look and I wondered why?

"Do we need to take her to the hospital?"

"Vanessa! I'm fine, you worry too much! You know I hate hospitals. I'm fine, I just felt a little bit dizzy." I said

"Your body needs rest Sapphire, you should have a good rest." Mia said.

"We'll just take her to her room then." Matilda said and got up to help me up, but I stood on my own without anyone's help.

Everyone watched as they took me to my room

"Is it your nightmares?" Vanessa asked.

"Hmm.." I nodded as I wiped the blood off my nose with a cloth.

"You have nightmares?" Matilda asked, we were silent, so she knew what the answer was.

"You can spend the night in my room tonight, so you don't sleep alone?" Matilda requested.

"Or how about we all sleep in one room, I mean it's large enough to contain five people." Vanessa said.

"That's the Idea, and we are sticking to it." Matilda said.

"Forget about sleeping now, I'm tired of staying at a place, maybe that's what is making me like this."

"You are right, we have to see somewhere outside here, for God's sake, we are in Paris!" Matilda yelled.

"We have to sneak out, see outside this prison." I said.

"That's right, but how do we do that?" Matilda asked really curious.

"Well, we have to dress like big girls and go to the gate without any teacher or student seeing us. That way, the gate can be opened for us. I mean we don't have the word student written on our heads do we?"

"No, we don't, thats why we are doing this." Matilda and Vanessa hurried to their rooms to get some money, while I took some money from my purse. I changed into some other clothe that made me look like a grown up and I put on sunshades. I came out together with Matilda and Vanessa who also had sunshades.

"So, young miss, are we sneaking out of here?" Matilda asked.

"Let's do this thing." Vanessa said holding a handbag. Valerie stuck her head out, but she put them back in.

"Stay still Valerie, we have a mission here."

We snuck and hid and hid and hid until we got to the gate, we passed.

It was freedom! We took pictures, bought Ice creams, bangles, went into the mall, came out empty handed. It was really a tour!

"Now, this is Paris!" Matilda said.

"Yeah.. " I replied.

"Come on, let's go over to that park. Vanessa said and ran with Valerie while we followed her.

We entered a thousand swings except the roller coaster, no one had the heart to get on it.

There were so many promo games. Eating competition, couples presentation, the winners got a diamond ring and we're forced by the crowd to have a kiss. It was fun! We didn't speak much to anyone, because we didn't know how to 'Bonjour'

We had lunch at a top restaurant, Gosh! the food was top notch! I ordered three plates in a row! Vanessa I thought was a princess who should eat less, ate five plates! While Matilda ordered four plates. It was just because of America we remembered our table manners. I consumed the chicken that there was no saving it! Even Valerie finished her plate. After lunch, we went back into the park.

We went to a slide and fell into a room of tiny balls. It was fun! We kept playing there, forgetting people were on the line for it, when we remembered Valerie slid down with us. We searched and searched the balls to find Valerie swimming underneath! We all laughed! We came out to see the waiting troop, their eyes cursed us, but it wasn't our fault, it was the fault of freedom! We took a bench to get some rest.

"I can't feel myself anymore, I haven't had this much fun in my entire life! The taste of freedom is powerful." Vanessa said in what seemed like a tears of joy. Matilda kept tilting her head looking at something as though she wasn't sure what she was seeing.

"Is that not Aiden, Evan and Gabe?" She asked.

"No way." I said and turned to look at where she was looking.

"Oh.. no it's them!" I screamed.

"What are they doing here? Why are that out of our camp?" Matilda asked.

Vanessa already stood on the bench waving to them

"Aiden! Evan! Gabe! Over here!"

I pulled her down before she could scream again.

"What are you doing?" I whispered harshly.

"Waving to them?"

"You forget we are on a secret mission." Matilda said.

"Oh! I forgot! But if we broke the rules, they also did, so.. "

"Hello ladies!" A voice cut her conversation.

"Hi!" We all turned to them waving.

"So what are you doing here without security, especially you princess?" Aiden asked.

"Speaking of breaking the rules, they actually came to find us." Matilda whispered in a clenched teeth.

"Well.. actually.. we.. run!" I shouted and we all ran. But soon came to a stop when no one chased after us. We looked behind us to see they just sat down. We walked back to them confused.

"I thought you were looking for us?" Matilda asked.

"No, we came out here for some fresh air!" Evan answered.

"And you came out without security which means you snuck out." Vanessa added.

"We wouldn't use the word 'sneak' we just came out of there without anyone knowing like you guys did I guess." Gabe answered.

"Oh! You are trying to coat your sin." I said and sat down while they adjusted for Vanessa and Matilda.

"So, how long have guys been leaving without anyone knowing?" Vanessa asked.

" Since day one?" Evan answered.

"What?!" We yelled.

"So you guys have been having fun all this time! No wonder you look so cool! While we looked like forgotten chickens! How long have we been fools!!" Matilda yelled and the boys scoffed.

"Why didn't you tell us?" Vanessa asked.

"We didn't want to get anyone into trouble."

"This is not trouble? This is fun!" I said and leaned to the bench.

"So, when did you guys become buddy's, you know Gabe and you guys?"

"Oh! 'Make friends,' remember miss Mia's words when we came to Paris."

"Oh! You really listened, that's good." Vanessa said.

"Balloons!" Matilda yelled and pointed to the balloons that flew on the air. She searched herself and brought out dollars.

"Oh no! I only have dollars on me. Vanessa, Sapphire, do you have money on you?"

"No, I just have dollars." I said.

"I don't have any."

"You wanna get some balloons?" Aiden asked.

"Hmm.." Matilda nodded.

"I could buy you all the balloons just if you beg me."

"Really?!" She yelled and fell to her knees. "Please.. please.. please!"

"Hey! I was just joking!" He said and stood her up.

"So are you buying?"

"Yeah."

"Cool!" She yelled and stood Evan and Gabe up.

"What's it?" Evan asked.

"Yeah?" Gabe added.

"You'll need to help me carry the balloons?" She said and pushed them before they could them say anything."

I and Vanessa watched as she pushed them, it was funny.

"Whoa!" Vanessa said and leaned down.

I shut my eyes and opened them counting the apples on the tree above us since I didn't have anything to do."

I sat up to see a little girl clinging tightly to her teddy bear crying. I tapped Vanessa.

"Look Vanessa." I said and pointed to the kid.

"Why is she crying?" Vanessa asked.

"I don't know, shouldn't we go talk to her?" I asked.

"No, we don't have any skills in French."

"Let's just try." I said and stood Vanessa up even although she was reluctant.

"Bon..jour." I said to the kid and she moved backwards in fear.

"What do you want from me?" The little girl asked.

"Oh! You speak English! What are you doing here? Why did you run away from your parents?!" Vanessa asked scaring the girl and she moved back.

"Hey Vanessa, stop scaring the kid." I said and crouched to her height.

"Honey," I said and held her shoulders but she moved away from my grip.

"It's okay, I won't hurt you, my name is Sapphire, this is Vanessa, what's your name?"

"My name is Clare."

"Clare? Nice name! Why are you here alone? Why are you crying?" I asked and wiped her tears, I was getting into her.

"My parents hate me, they left me!"

"No! They didn't leave you." I said and held her shoulders.

"But I can't find them, they hate me." Clare said.

"No! Mommy and Daddy don't hate you, they love you, and I'm sure they are worried sick of you right now."

"You sure, they would be looking for me?"

"Yes. I'm sure."

"Come on." I said and lifted her into my arms. "Let's go find mama and papa."

"Really? Where? How can we find them in this park crowded with people!" Vanessa screamed.

"We wouldn't know unless we tried. Come on, are you joining this mission or not?"

"I.. I.. Okay!" She said and followed me.

I kept Clare on a raise and began clapping, creating a beat.

"What are you doing?" Vanessa asked me.

"Looking for Clare's parents."

"Like this?!"

"Yes. Come on, sing something."

"Me? Sing what?"

"Just anything, there is rhythm in your head and a lyrics on your lips, all you need to do is bring it out. Come on, you can do this!"

"Okay, I'll try." Vanessa said and started nodding.

We both duet the chorus as we sang, this time, we weren't the only ones clapping, the crowd clapped For us! while some were taking a video of us. I could see balloons on the air tied to a rope, I traced who held it, to see Matilda, Gabe, Evan and Aiden clapping for us too.

We finished and everyone clapped and cheered for us, even Clare grinned widely as she held her Teddy's hand clapping.

Someone passed through the crowd, until they came through.

"Mommy! Daddy!" Clare screamed and opened her arms.

"Honey!" Her mom screamed and pulled her into her arms in an embrace.

"You got me scared there!" Her mom said and ran a thousand kisses on her.

"Daddy!" Clare said and opened her arms for her dad to carry her and he took her in his arms.

"Don't ever do that again, why did you walk away from our sight?" He asked.

"I thought you both no longer love me, you weren't paying attention to me!"

"No baby, don't get us wrong, we were planning a surprise for you." He said.

"Really? did I ruin the surprise?"

"No you didn't, it's even waiting for you!"

"Really what's it?!"

"If we tell you, it will no longer be a surprise!" Her mom said rubbing her hair

"I'm sorry mom, dad, I will never do that again."

"It's okay honey." Her parents said.

All the while, everyone kept clapping as they watched the reunion.

"I guess your daughter is safe now." The lead police officer said to Clare's father.

"Yes officer, thank you so much." He said and they shook hands, afterwards the officers left.

The crowd began leaving one by one.

"Mommy, daddy, look at the people who helped me find you, this is Sapphire, and this is Vanessa."

"Thanks so much Vanessa and Sapphire." Clare's mom said and embraced the both of us.

"Don't mention, besides, Clare is such a lovely girl." I said.

"Thanks so much." Her dad added.

"Thanks so much, you are such a darling, Sapphire." Clare said.

"Okay, why do this kid sound like the kids in your neighborhood." Vanessa whispered with her teeth clenched.

"I don't know. Maybe, kids are all the same" I whispered back.

"Mom, dad where is my surprise. Take me to it." Clare said.

"Sure." Her mom said. "By the way, I'm Samantha and this is my Luis." She said and we shook hands. "It's a pleasure meeting you both."

"Sure. And I think you should go show Clare her surprise, she is so eager right now." Vanessa said and they laughed.

"Sure." They said and left.

"Such happy family." Vanessa said admiring them.

"Did you guys just do that song by yourself?" Matilda said as she walked to us holding her balloons.

"Yeah.. it was all Sapphire, she helped me compose it." Vanessa said.

"Pretty cool song, you can work that out more in our studio." Evan said.

"Yeah?" Aiden added and handed me his balloons.

"Thanks."

"What about.." Before Vanessa could finish her sentence, Evan slipped his balloon into her hand.

"Thanks."

"No, we got them for you girls, guys have nothing to do with balloons."

"That's why your life's are boring."

"Speaking of life, shouldn't we head back to our manor before they start looking for us?" I asked.

"That's right, come on, let's get going." Gabe said and we all started leaving.

"Today is my best day on this trip, I must confess." Matilda said.

"Then if you want, we can do this every day." Aiden said.

"Really?!" Thank you!" Matilda yelled and embraced him. He just froze in surprise until she let go of him.

"You girls are so easy to please." Evan added.

I pulled Gabe aside.

"Look, everyone is already posting the video of us on social media. 'These girls helped the kid find her parents"

"So what do you want me to do."

"I want you to edit your own video, take me out of it, so Vanessa is the only person that can be seen, then, it will go with the heading 'Do you know that it was the to be crowned princess of England that helped the kid find her parents? How lovely!' Can you do that?"

"Yeah I can take you out of the video, but why? The both of you helped that kid find her parents.

"Yeah I know, but this isn't about me, it's about Vanessa."

"What do you mean?"

"Well, I want to put her in everyone's good book. She has too many obstacles on her bid for the throne, and I wanna make it easier for her. Even if everyone says she doesn't deserve it, because the queen already has biological children, I say she deserves it, because she is my best friend, so can you help me with this please?"

"This is the first time I've seen someone so selfless, I'll help you."

"Thanks."

"But I'll need my laptop to do that."

"Sure, when we go back then, but you have to be quick to upload the video to counter the others. That's the one that will attract everyone's's attention."

"Yeah." He said.

"What are you guys doing behind, walk faster!" Vanessa shouted and beckoned to us. I ran to them to catch up.

"What were you guys talking about?" Vanessa asked

"Um.. how come you guys didn't come out with Jeffrey?" I asked Changing the subject.

"He was having a nap, we didn't want to disturb him." Evan answered as we walked home.

In the highest floor of a skyscraper, a man watched them through the glass.

"Did you find out who those kids were?"

"Yes sir, they are students of Edville High."

"Really?.. I want you to get more information about the blonde one."

"Yes sir." He bowed and left the room.
