The Poem

253 Words
Ellie: My Eleanor: Looking at your lovely face Does something to my heart,  That makes it race Making me fill with sorrow when apart In worlds like ours, I am lucky for your pace You set it to keep me afloat, Leaving me knowing that in this chase We are in the same boat Hesitantly, my love for you grows With splendor when together With yearning when not close Just waiting for us, no matter the weather Yours always and forever,  AJ, aka Bubbie I hope that when we become one you will know me, be loyal to me, never leave me. For I vow to make you happy. Remember, I love you my mate. One day... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- He just let it trail off there leaving me to be confused and blaming it on being tired and it being late. That's it, I am going mad, no way in hell can a wolf, dog whatever it is do this. I pull out my phone, to see that it is midnight, and use my phone's flashlight to verify the words read in the faint light of the moon.  "No, no, no! This can not be! You are just going crazy Ellie. Yeah that's it. Look at it in the morning when you're not so tired! One step in front of the other!" I coach myself and make my way across the field to my house. Right as I reach my porch i see those same amber eyes staring at me near the water off in the distance. It leaves me frozen, but strangely not scared. A little shaky I question, "AJ?," no longer feeling tired.
