"Um darling,you did an amazing job"my dad said scratching the back of his head"but maybe we should let Ash pick out her stuff next time,this is our fresh start."

I went exploring,find a shop I went inside
The cashier waved at me but I ignore her,walking to the freezers
I found the comics cream!and grabbed a ice cream sandwich,and ate it
"Hey!are you gonna pay for that?"the cashier said
"Calm down,of course I'll pay,just let me get my wallet."I rolled my eyes
I checked each of my pockets and didn't find it
"Oh s**t I left my wallet at home."I said putting a hand over my mouth
"I don't care,if it were an accident or not,you better pay for that."she said
"I'll Pay for you."a sexy stranger said

As he came to view,i was left dumbstruck
He had chocolate skin,light brown eyes,a chiseled jawline,small heart shaped lips,he had brown messy undercut hair,and a straight pointed nose

He winked at me,and totally knows it,i mentally rolled my eyes at his arrogance
"I don't need favors."
"It's not big deal."he said rolling his eyes"let me just help you out."

"You can come with me to my community service,i have to volunteer at a local animal shelter."
As we got closer the smell of his Cologne made me the hair on my skin stand up
"C-community service."I stuttered blushing at our close proximity
"What'd you get in trouble for."I said
"Drag racing."he smirked "so wanna help each other out,you'll get to hung out with cute puppies and kittens."he said whispering the last part in my ear
"No I should head home."I said
"Oh okay."he said looking at me disappointed "you don't really like getting close to people dont you?"
"I don't know what you talking about."I said angrily,crossing my arms over my chest
"You have to let somebody in eventually."he winked,"and don't worry about the ice cream sandwich it's on me,t think of it as a welcome gift to the neighborhood."he said "and my name's Malik."
"Ashley."I said as he left
Whoa,what he said hit a little to close to home,i really hope we don't run into eachother again
(Later that night)
I was on my laptop,the worst thing about moving is loneliness,i ts like somehow I don't belong anywhere
"There's my princess."my dad's voice snapped me out of my thoughts "so how are you setting in."I rubbed my arm awkwardly

I sighed heavily
If only mom were still around,thing would be different,ever since mom died it's like dad let her memory die too
He never talks about her,and even got rid of her pictures
And dad still hasn't told me about her death
All I know is that she's gone,i don't know how or why,there are no answers about her death,so I have to find my own
Oh my god the hospital,just emailed me back

She can't have just disappeared,i need to change and go to bed
