Rain pitter pattered against my window, lulling me to sleep, until my sleep was rudely interrupted of course. "You better be getting up young lady". Sigh first day of my senior year, yay... with more freshman to teach a lesson. "Yeahhhh yeah I'm coming down, just give me a bit." I couldn't help the sarcasm that rolled out, oops? Hm what should I wear today? Should I go with my black V-neck, black skinny jean's with cowgirl boots and my brown leather jacket or should I wear a skin tight dress and cowgirls boots, cause I ain't leaving without my boots they are my babies.
"Honey are you going to dress up with me today?" My best friend barged in my room with her five eight height, butt long gorgeous blonde hair. Ugh why is she so pretty? "AHEM are you just going to look at me or will you answer me and tell me I look hot?" She winked, twirling around in her tight black dress with sparkles plastered all over it, why sparkles? Sparkles get EVERYWHERE.
"Yeah I guess I COULD dress up." She squealed, rushing into my closet tossing out dresses, making me sit up and scowl. " Your going to pick these up, right?" She stopped moving, I know she's thinking of something by the way her heads tilted.
"Yes in one condition." She turned around facing me with both hands behind her back.
"Sigh what is it Chalea? What's this "condition" you speak of?" I stared her down, crossing my arms over my chest for good measure.
"Your going to let me choose your outfit."
"Uh no I aint"
"Oh yes.... you are, or else you can clean up your room." innocently she started tossing things out of my dresser drawers, and closet saying "oops" every time. Great my room looks like a tornado swept through it. "Oops, oh what's this?" she holds up my lime green bra and panties from Victoria secrets.
"Will you stop looking through my s**t, like come on my personal things should remain, personal, that's why their called PERSONAL THINGS!"
"Oh quit being such a sour wart and get up, shower and put this on" her eyes twinkled at the dress she gave me.
"Fine but then I get to choose your outfit for the next dance." I smirked staring her down.
"But Maggie that's not fair!" she pouted shoving me into the bathroom and holding the door shut. UGH. "Now shower you stink."
I couldn't help but turn around and glare at the door, stripping out of my fluffy pink pajama shorts and tank top, pulling off my panties then my bra tossing them into a pile for my lovely friend to pick up. Hope she doesn't mine. I couldn't help but smirk at my own thoughts, so I hopped In the shower, scrubbed my hair with shampoo then washed it out. Conditioner was a necessity, so I always squirt about a palm full and put it In my hair. "Are you about done? I'm tired of waiting out here for your lazy butt." sigh Chalea really is impatient.
"I'm coming out don't get your panties in a twist" I walked out with my towel around my torso, and flipped her off.
"Awww your so cute when your mad".
"Shut up and just hand me the stupid dress".
"Aww what's wrong?" she stalked over handing me everything I need to apparently put on. Ugh the nerve of this chick. Yes I love her, we have been friends since sophomore year when she moved here and she was the new kid, I remember meeting her at the homecoming dance with my boyfriend Roy, but uh yeah I had to keep him hidden and I highly regret even being with him so. "Dear are you thinking about Roy again? You always get this look on your face of pain and misery and it aint very attractive. Like at all."
"Yeah..." I shook my head, slipping on the white dress with those weird shiny things on them, their like circles but with a thread holding them in place and slipped on the white flats she handed me. " He wasn't very nice at ALL."
"Oh I know I would have liked to kill his 6 foot skinny ass but I didn't because he was your first love and friends are nice like that but I swear if I see him again he best be running for he hills cause I wont go up them, too much work."
"Oh just lets go." I left my hair wet cause it turns wavy when natural and without brushed. "LETS GO" I drug her out of my room, down the stairs and into my garage. She didn't fight me, surprisingly.
"Loosen up a bit will ya I swear there is gonna be a bruise there tomorrow and I aint gonna be very happy about it." She hopped in the passenger seat of my 2018 Camaro, motioning for me to hurry up. "You know I love this car, the leather seats to the navy blue paint with the white stripes. Hey can I have this car if something happens to you?" I looked at her with my what the hell you talkin bout face.
"I don't plan on leaving this world anytime soon and you bringing that up is just, rude." I put it into gear and took off towards school. "Speaking of rude, put on some music".
"Hmm maybe I am rude" ignoring her I focused on driving.
About halfway there she started talking about rabbits and how adorable they are, and the next Kentucky derby winner, etc etc. This chick is obsessed I thought as I signaled to turn right, into the school parking lot. My wolf was growling fiercely, jumping around snapping and wagging her tail, don't ask how I know this its like I can see her. She didn't stop yipping until I pulled into a parking spot a few feet from the school. I wonder if her wolf is going crazy too? "Hey um Chalea?"
"Yeah?"
"Is your wolf going crazy too?"
"Yeah how did you know?" She looked like I grew two heads. "What else do you know" her eyes squinted as she walked closer to me.
"I don't have some magical power to read your mind so do you mind staying outta my bubble?" I turned away from her and hopped out of my car, heading towards the school. She caught me halfway through the doors pulling me to our lockers. "Yes?"
"It's getting stronger I wonder what it is?" Her blue and brown eye staring into my soul. "Come on I got to see please?"
That's when the most alluring scent hit me, it smelled like the ocean breeze and oddly enough, chocolate. Mm mm I could swoon over whoever had that wonderful smell. I closed my eyes reveling in the scent. "Excuse me miss but could you show me where my first class is?"
Huh? My eyes peeled open, meeting his forest green orbs. "Uh yeah what's your first class?" I never left his eyes, their the most beautiful sight I've seen... He handed me the schedule, his eyes never left mine making my cheeks heat up. What is he, some kind of god? Would it be weird if I checked him out? "Mate" My wolf whispered. Huh? Mate? No way. I shook off the thought by grabbing his schedule. First English, then math and science, lunch, art and then gym. He has all the same classes as me.... I could feel his eyes rake over my body sending heat waves through me, making me nauseous.
"Maggie..." Chalea looked at me with widened eyes. That's when I noticed another man beside him. "I found my mate..." she mind linked me.
"I did too but we don't even know their names" I linked back, I rolled my eyes at my stupidity. "I'm sorry for not introducing myself, Hi I'm Maggie, Alpha of The Reapers." I looked over his 6 foot muscled toned build, slowly moving up from his leather boots, to his leather pants, and over his skin tight black V-neck shirt. Oh my god... he is delicious looking. I continued to eye f**k his body until I reached his face, I didn't pay much attention before but his black hair and green eyes just, pull you in. He went to speak but stopped drawing my attention to his hard jaw line and strong cheek bones. Oh my...
"The names Arthur. Arthur Kingsly, and I too am an alpha. Alpha of The Blood Sinners.' I took a step closer, and the scent got stronger. Oh my gosh he really is my mate! I don't want him, but I cant help but wonder, does he notice me as his mate? He looked at me curiously. "I came here from Scotland, me and my pack and we are hoping for some place to stay. Would you mind?"
"Maggie!" Chalea called from beside me. "Maggie' she pinched my arm.
"Ouch you didn't have to pinch that hard" I glared at her.
"Sorry but-" She was cut off by the bell ringing. I grabbed his hand while trying to ignore the sparks that ignited at our touch into the classroom and into the back where my table was.
He stopped where I let go of him and he stared at me wide eyed. Oh boy if he didn't recognize me before he surely does now. "Mate" was all I heard before I was ripped into his arms.
"I'm not your mate for long so let go" he looked at me with such hurt "I have never needed one, and I wont ever need one." I turned away from him and walked out of the classroom, and out of his life, or so I thought.
