My heart was racing. Quinn's breathing was ragged, eager to vent all her emotions. Running for so long had gotten my adrenaline pumping. I loved that sensation because it was more exhilarating than being intimate.
"What's going on?" Karyn asked. She was confused to see Wallace and Clyde standing before her. "Duncan sent me back to the Dark Crescent Kingdom. Do you guys want to kill me without his permission??"
"Your victim protested the light punishment you received. The king allowed her to impose an additional punishment on you," Wallace said. He shifted so the woman could see me.
Karyn snorted. "You're no match for me. Be grateful I didn't kill you in the forest. Seven against one. Is this how the Moon Night Kingdom treats guests from other kingdoms?" she sneered.
