Seraphina and Rosette froze in spot when they saw Lorcan standing at the door. And in an instant, they exchanged baffled glances before Seraphina reached put to snatch the gem from Krogon's neck and Rosette pushed her hand in the air towards Krogon, casting a spell under her breath to keep him asleep.
"GUARDS!" Lorcan screamed and instantly the room was being flooded by the king's guard, dressed to their necks in armour and carrying spears, swords, and whatever weapons they could find.
