Chapter SixAfter I finally managed to tell Zoe everything, leaving out the fact that Tomas had seen us and my eyes had glowed like a cat’s when I got angry at Booth, she finally allowed me to climb into bed. I wasn’t at all sure I would be able to sleep. Between everything I’d seen and worrying whether I’d dream again, I hated the thought of drifting off. But eventually, I did manage to sleep, lulled off by the sound of Zoe hammering away on her mobile as though she was searching the internet for something. And for the first time in a week, I didn’t dream. Maybe it was because my brain thought I was way too stressed to handle anything else.
