My Choice

Mide’s POV

We'd known each other since we were kids, but the way he smiled at me now felt like I was seeing him for the first time.

The day he held my hand at the beach, I felt a spark I couldn't ignore. It was like my heart finally caught up with what my mind had known for years – he was more than just my friend.

Is he also feeling this way?

I was so carried away in my thoughts when jide tap on my shoulder.

“Hey Mide” Jide greet

“Oh.hey “ I answered back half startled 😮

“Hey.what happen?you are too young to be lost in thought” he said teasingly

“Ummm whatever” rolled my eyes and walk away.

Yeah that's Jide my seat mate and also Greg’s friend.yeah the guy in my thoughts.

Greg is my best friend snice day one we were born on the same day though different places.he moved in with his parents when I was 6 years old and since then we have been best buddies.I never had this thought of Greg being more than just a friend not until we were 16.

I start to notice I have feelings for him when I started getting jealous whenever he is with other girls also the first time I saw him play guitar, I was done. His fingers danced on the strings, and I swear he looked straight into my soul.

I could feel he is feeling the same way.

And I have decided to confess my feelings to him today after today's evening class.

I went straight home after school to freshen up and get ready for the evening class also for my mission to confess my feelings.i was so nervous and anxious.

As I step into the class.Greg is sitting right in front of my desk waiting for me.immediately he senses my presence he stand up immediately and almost dumped his head on mine.

Awkward 😵

My heart begins to beat faster and I swear I could hear it loudly in my ears,his face was so close to mine and I just had to hold my breath.

He immediately step back awkwardly with a slight smile on his face.

Gosh did he just blush ?

“Hey”he said.

“Hey”I answered with a sweet smile.

Gosh when did we start to feel this shy when we are together?Did he already knows I was going to confess?

“You left the school early today.Jide said you looked worried.you’re okay,right?”

Fuck Jide”yeah of course I am”I smile awkwardly.

He looked into my eyes innocently and said“Hey do you wanna miss today's class?”

Without hesitation I answered “yeah”

We both smile and ran out of the class immediately. We walk down to our usual spot where we do sit to gist,have fun and play games.we both sat down quietly and I wonder when things start to get awkward between us. We are usually on each other's throats,he teased me a lot and I hit him a lot .

I was gone in my thoughts when i felt something on my hand.i slowly look down on my hand and yes his hand was on mine ,he gently lock his fingers with mine and look straight into my eyes.

“Mide,I like you” he said

OMG

I could feel my heart beating very fast and I could also feel his through the tip of his fingers.

The feelings was mutual.

I smile 😊

He smile 😊

We both smile 😊
