the moment Alex and her mate come back they are smiling and hugging each other. out of all the years that i have followed her around i have never seen her smile this way.
she would smile with her father and step mother but there was always this feeling of sadness in the corner of her smile. i have never been sure why but i guess its because she has always known that her step mother grows sad when she sees her because it reminds her of how her mate had a child with someone else.
