TALKING TO ALPHA KING ALONE

Merlyn’s POV

I was scared to death when he told me to talk to him. I am not usually to being scared. I usually feel disappointed when I made a mistake but never scared. But this man is making me really scared and my heart is beating really hard as it will come out in a few seconds, still I don’t want to disappoint him in any way. I am even choosing my words very carefully with him.

Maverick -“ALONE,”.

Merlyn – “Allow me sir to show you the room prepared for you for tonight’s stay,”.

As soon as we reached the room I opened the door for him.

Maverick -"Close the door behind you," he said in the same cold and scary voice.

"Yes sir" I replied. By the time I turned around after closing the door, I was sweating and I was still not looking up. I quickly scanned the room for him and managed to locate him by his feet in the room. he is standing in the front of the study table in the room with his legs crossed. I waited there for his next direction.

"Come here," he said when he realized that I was waiting for his direction.

I slowly moved towards him taking careful steps. I stopped at a safe distance when he again spoke

"Come closer" and I have to move closer to him. He lifted my face with his hand and out of fear I closed my eyes.

He ordered me to open my eyes and I obeyed. Now I am directly looking at his face "he is handsome" that is the first thought that came to my mind. I turned my face when I realized that I was staring at him for too long. and he also removed his hand from my face.

"Say goodbye to your family and friends, we will be leaving tomorrow morning," he said in an ordering tone and I could feel that his stare was not on me anymore.

"But ......" before I could speak his stare turned toward me again telling me that there was no place for if and but. He said I must obey that is all he want from me. But I didn't get scared of him when I looked directly into his eyes. t feels like his fear has disappeared from my heart at that moment. And I could feel that someone was scared of me at that moment but I was sure that it was not him.

"Anything else" his words took me back to reality.

"no sir" I reply as I knew that was the only answer he wanted.

"And one more thing meet me at that waterfall in your woods at three o'clock," he said when I was about to leave.

I nodded agreeing with him but his cold stare told me that he wanted a reply in words.

"Yes sir" I replied.

"Can I leave now, Sir?" I asked him.

"Yes and close the door after you," he said.

I immediately left the room and closed the door. then leaning on the closed door I took a deep breath of relief.

Maverick's POV

As I looked into her eyes I forgot about everything else. Those beautiful green eyes took over me completely. the first word that came to my mind was "MINE, Only MINE", at that moment I really wanted to put my mark on her and make her completely mine before I could think more she moved her head which made me come back to reality and I realize that my hand is still on her face and that is making the situation worse so I immediately removed my hand from her face. I really don't want to make her more scared than she already was. She is sweating and shivering profoundly, and even her breaths are uneven. A chuckle left my mouth thinking what would happen to her when she was going to see the real me, her condition is this bad even though I have not done anything yet. I also felt Dread to be sinking in me deeper when I looked into her eyes. He is scared, of what I don't know. He got better as soon as she removed her eyes from me. Is he scared of her why? Since I met this girl I have had many questions I don't have answers to.

She stayed in the position waiting for me to talk when I realized that I said "Say goodbye to your family and friends, we will be leaving tomorrow morning," not leaving any space for an argument I think she realized that but she still replied to me with a BUT and one stare from me is enough for me to shut her up. Well, I wanted to know more about her so I told her to meet me so our wolf could meet and she gave the answer exactly what I wanted "Yes sir" With her reply a smirk appeared on my face thinking that she was going to be a really well-behaved luna. After my order, she left me alone in the room to think more about her.

A few moments later my beta Patrick arrived and I told him to make arrangements for our way back home as someone will be joining us which required some additional preparations. He knew very well who was the one joining us. With a smile, he left me for the preparations.
