Alison POV:

I shut my eyes to only be interrupted my by stomach. Why!? Why me? This is so embarrassing. He didn’t mind, he only let out a deep chuckle which gave me goosebumps. He then rested his forehead on mine letting sparkles fill my head and making me feel dizzy.

Wait what am I doing? I quickly realized what I’ve done and just started to speed walk down stairs only to still feel his presence behind me. I sit down at the dining  table but to my surprise it wasn’t my mate who sat down next to me it was my best friend.

“Wow girl slow down I’m only away a day and you get your mate and all other stuff” Teresa says a grin on her face. “It wouldn’t be much if you wouldn’t have been away so long, where have you been!?” I say little frustrated. Her eyes widened a bit of my outburst ”Aw you missed me that much?” she just smiled at me but I didn’t return it, I only lift my eyebrows at her. ”Geez, remember the wnb bet in the morning well it turned out a bit more steamier but before that we went on a nice date” She said satisfied. I felt a bit grossed out.

I felt a sparkles on my bare shoulder and noticed it was my mate. I had went too long last time. “Um I have to do my homework” I stand up and almost walk on my mate.”excuse me” I said with my head down, and rushed to my room. I didn’t straight up lie because I did have homework to do but I did want to get away as fast as possible.

I grabbed my backpack and threw it on my king sized bed. I put my hair up in a messy bun and went on my bed. I started to take my homework when I heard a knock on the door and my best friend came in with some food. “Honey you didn’t even eat, you must be starving” Teresa said worried. I didn’t even have a chance to answer when my stomach growled and she just chuckled. She gave me a water glass and some mozzarella pizza. I dug in as she joined me on the bed. She opened my hair and started to braid it. “So what’s on your mind?” she said with her soft voice. I sighed ”I don’t want to have a mate yet” Teresa looked over my shoulder at my face “So you don’t mind if I take him?” she said little hopefully and sarcastic at the same time. I felt protective over what’s mine even though he isn’t my yet. Wait yet?

She saw the change in my face and grinned widely. That was exactly what she wanted..

She silently braided my long hair as I ate my food and did my homework. “Wanna watch netflix?” I said when I was done with my homework. “Of course” She said while she made her way beside me and we started to watch “To all the boys I’ve loved before”

“aww” We say when the movies over.

I felt little jealous because humans get to know each other from scratch and stuff but we are fated with a mate and supposed to live with them the whole life, even though we don’t have to worry about being cheated because we feel pain if either of us would do that  so rather a rejection to our mate would be smarter but that would hurt a lot.

We fell asleep with our clothes on which was why they were wrinkled in the morning. I woke up to being pushed down the bed. “What the hell!?” I say annoyed to Teresa only to realize she is sleeping. I sighed and got up from the floor. I changed my clothes to a oversized sweatshirt and some blue jeans. I went downstairs to eat breakfast, I really wanted a boiled egg.

I went downstairs yawning and seeing my dad talking to someone. “Good morning dad” I said as I hugged him from behind. He was gone for some business stuff but came back yesterday for the meeting with the Blood Moon pack Alpha, my mate. Wait I don’t even know my mate's name and I’ve almost kissed him twice!

“Good morning” my dad answer me. I realized that he was talking to my mate earlier. “ Oh right before I forget, what do want do on your birthday?” My dad continued. s**t I didn’t want my mate to know, but that was too late. “Umm, sleep?” I answered shortly, which made my mate smile and my dad just raise a eyebrow. I liked seeing my mate smile. I walked past them and went to the dining area. I smelled toast and some boiled egg which made my mouth water.

I started to think about the movie we watched and thought about what Teresa said. “You know, if you don’t feel ready to have a mate you could imitate the humans way of getting to know each other. If he really wants you then he should accept it, I don’t think you would like the idea of me taking him right?”

 How can Teresa give so good couple advice when she is more like a player?

After I ate I went to my mates room and knocked at the door, almost instantly the door shut open.“Can I come in?” I said as I confirmed that it was him. My mate looking a bit surprised and happy at the same time, he stepped away making a ‘welcome in’ gesture. I nervously walk in hiding it with a smile. “So I wanted to talk, nothing that serious though so you don’t have to stress about it.”

Jackson POV:

I felt my body tense up when she said she wanted to talk but relaxed when she said is nothing serious. “Sure what is it?” I said curiously. “Umm, I, Well” She said trying to form her sentence. “So?” I said little bit amused, she scrunched her nose at me cutely and continued now much more comfortable. “So, I’m not ready for a mate but I think we could get to know each other the humans way.” She looked at me hopefully. “So have s*x?” Her eyes widened and she turned red at my comment. “NO, I meant like, just hanging, getting to know all the basic facts about each other and all that kind of stuff.” She said adorably looking at the ground little embarrassed. “Sure” I said sending a wide smile and ignoring all my wolf’s naughty desires. She looked at me a bit surprised and smiled back with the most beautiful smile I’ve ever seen. “So let’s start with basics” She says clapping her hands against each other. “Hi, my name is Alison and I’m 17 years old and I’m the daughter of the Beta” She continued. Alison. I like it. “Hi, my name is Jackson and I’m 19 years old and a Alpha.” I reached for a hand shake and she chuckled at it which made me feel weird, in a positive way. “So when is your birthday?” I asked, remembering that Alison’s dad said something about it. “Oh it’s a week and a half away.” She said a bit troubling. “Well would you like to go on a date with me on your birthday?” I said praying her to say yes. She looked like it was the hardest question she had gotten in her life but then just chuckled. “Do we have to wait so long?” She said making me surprised with joy. “Well I guess if it’s okay we could go tomorrow?” I said trying hard not to show how excited I was. “Pick me up at 6pm?” She said. “Really can’t I just pick you from school?” I said thinking that I wouldn’t have the patience to wait for 6pm. “I have to come home and get ready” She said stubbornly. “Fine 4pm then” I say giving in, feeling happy because she wants to get ready for me. “Us” I heard Liam say.
