Maya has in her own weird way broke down all my walls, destroyed my defenses and crawled under my skin, but I love it. She’s not once held back from telling me the truth, no matter how much it hurt to hear it. I told her about Kyle, what he did and what drove me to my addiction. Not once does she make me feel like I’m a failure, look at me with pity in her eyes or tell me that it’ll be okay, instead she’s giving me this.
