Serena’s POV Monday morning hit hard, but I was determined to sleep through it. After a weekend of dodging Victor Crane’s goons and dancing in that crazy club, I deserved a break and my bed was a sanctuary with the blankets cocooning me against the world’s chaos. But at nine sharp in the evening, Mia’s insistent knocking shattered my peace.
