Chapter Seven
They had all talked with Nate until Will had to leave to get the kids from school. At this point, he didn’t trust them on the bus at all. He considered not even taking them to school this morning.
Nate had been somewhat reassuring. He felt this person, whoever they were, was likely just trying to scam money out of him and wasn’t as serious as he seemed. But, he had taken all the notes and the phone number the man had called from to see if he could get any information.
It was comforting for Nate to think that, but it didn’t solve Will’s concerns. He would feel immensely better when Nate had information. He had also told him to record all future calls with the man, something that Will was still beating himself up over not thinking of.
