Chapter Eighteen
Will snuck out of the bed once Jessica had fallen asleep. He didn’t want to leave her, but he needed to know what else was going on. He needed to know if this was over or not. He also wanted to call and check on the kids.
Grabbing a shirt, he threw it over his head as he quietly shut the door to the bedroom with one last glance at Jessica sleeping peacefully in the bed. It was only after the door was shut that he hit the button on his phone to check the time, which was now well past 10 o’clock.
He found Alex and Nate in the dining room as expected, eating pizza and talking. Will’s stomach growled loudly, alerting the men of his presence.
“Have a seat and grab some,” Nate told him, gesturing to the pizza on the table.
