54 GLORY WALKER November 8 I got a call from Momma this afternoon. She and Daddy had sent the money transfer I’d asked for, and it was sittin’ in my account. Unfortunately, the cable company had already disconnected my Internet service a few days ago for defaultin’ on the payment for the third month in a row and if I wanted to take care of business today, I’d have to either guess my neighbor’s Wi-Fi password so I could pay online or head on over to the bank and have the teller do it. Lord knows I’d already tried enterin’ their pets’ and kids’ names with no success, and since I needed a little cash to keep in my purse, I grabbed my stack of bills, loaded Trent into the truck, and headed over to Jefferson Street.
