I continued and went on with my night. I greeted all my employees, business partners, family, and friends while waiting for the event to start. It would’ve been a perfect time for me to introduce Elisha, and I was a bit green seeing my buddies with their partners.
“Kyle! Where is Elisha?” Miles and Kathy approached me, hugging and congratulating me.
“Hey, guys!” I smiled at them. “She’s not feeling well tonight,” I honestly said.
“Oh…” Kathy puckered, “I was looking forward to seeing her here tonight,” she sadly mumbled.
“I know. Same here, but Elisha changed her mind,” I coolly said.
Kathy snorted. “That’s okay. Miles convinced me to join him. I wasn’t in the mood this morning either.”
“Well, I hope El will make up her mind and come down here. She’s in our suite with Yelena,”
