“Baby?” I asked as soon as I left the bathroom. I thought Elisha was already back from the nursery. The babies were asleep when we took them inside, but I guess they woke up again and cried.
I entered the walk-in closet and wore my boxers before going to the nursery. The adjacent door was very convenient and easy to access.
Elisha and I co-slept with our babies for their first three months until we decided it was better to use the room we had prepared for them.
As soon as I got in, Elisha’s sweet voice welcomed me. She was singing one of her favorite songs by Nicole Nordeman.
