A medium-size closet clapped shut and Leon withdrew to the bed, where he laid his head on the pillows and wiggled the cover-up to his chin, the lights were switched off, the window was half open as usual and everywhere was silent.  Leon felt all the ache on his body from the beating, it bit and sting without rest, but he had hope. He was not like others, after all, he was human but not quite human, cause he healed with an incredible speed, after all, he was mothered by a vampire.  Leon brought his eyelids down and got cozy with his bed. It was time he had to rest.
