Chapter 25 – ‘I am the Boss’

“Get me the God damn names of those meetings now Adrian, I’ll call the water company myself,” she ordered, walking back into the club, putting her gun back in her waist band at her back.  Damian watched, his ass currently sitting on a stool and like the f*****g last time, he was suffering with a problem in his pants.                 There was no denying the power she had over him and he wasn’t sure he wanted to.  He watched as she got her phone and then called the company, her body walking back and forth.  He took a sip of the bottle water and then turned as he heard the door open, his gaze landing on Ric.                 “Hey Damian.” Damian nodded to the man.  “s**t looks bad out there; she is going to be even more pissed.”                 “She’s furious now, not that I blame her.”  Damian nodded to the water line behind the bar.  “To make it all worse, she thinks that’s a set up.”                 “Ah f**k, she’s not going to be fun to handle.”  Damian smirked to himself on that one.  No, he knew she would be a blast to handle and he would handle her, there was no doubt to him about it either.  He just needed to get her back to his place, or f**k, even hers.                 Once she hung up the phone, she turned and looked at Ric.  Her jaw was tight and locked and those golden eyes had taken on a darker hue in her anger.  And to him, she had never looked more delectable and f**k if he couldn’t wait to get to watch that high and mighty be knocked down in the one place he wanted her to be.                 “I need you to look at the security footage Ric, I want to know how long that car was sitting here and a f*****g plate.”                 “Yes Boss.”  He nodded as he left and then Adrian came over, stopping before her.                 “It seemed that Mancotti had a meeting tonight.”  Damian watched as Angel stiffened and he tried to rack his brain as to where he knew that name from.                 “Would be that Jordan or his dad?”                         “Both; seemed here was a problem with the Vitales and they wanted a common ground place to settle it.”  Angel pushed her hair back and crossed her arms.                 “I wonder if Jordan and his dad took my threat to heart and wanted to retaliate.”  At the confused look on Adrian’s face, Damian lifted a brow at Angel.  “I had a run in with them a ways back at a charity event, Mancotti tried to tell me I had no place running the show.”  Finally it clicked in Damian’s mind and he smirked as the memory came back.  Personally, he loved seeing her in that role.                 “If he was already on your radar though wouldn’t it be stupid for him to do something like this?”                 “The old fucker as is thinks I wouldn’t do s**t to him because I’m a female, he thinks I’m weak.  So, yes he would.  And what is even more questionable to me, odder to me, is why have a meeting with Vitale?  Their lines don’t cross and as far I know they have no issues.”                 “Wasn’t there something about Vitale’s daughter and Jordan?”  Angel rolled her eyes and though it shouldn’t have, it amazed Damian how much Angel knew about the things within the families.                 “Carl would be a fool to allow his daughter within 10 feet of that man w***e, so no; I would say that’s a lost cause.”                 “You told him no?”  Angel lifted her lips into an evil smirk.                 “Carl wanted a better position and a powerful alliance.  I merely said the Mancoitt’s weren’t the way to go.”  Adrian shook his head and Angel lifted a shoulder.  “They wouldn’t have known, but still, they didn’t do this.”                 “You are solid on that?”                 “Very.  Again, they may be a lot of things, but they don’t have the power to pull this off like many would to think.”                 “Any other thoughts?”  Angel slowly shook her head and Damian watched her, her arms crossed and he couldn’t stop his eyes from running over her.                 “No, but I have an idea or two on how to figure it out.  I did call the water company and after many threats they are sending someone over here to look at this.”                 “I’ll make sure to stay, Boss.”                 “Good.  Ric is looking over the security footage from outside.  Maybe help him with the video from last week; I want to see if we can figure out who did what.”                 “On it.  Will call you if we find anything.”                 “Thanks.”  Damian stood up, holding his hand to Angel, who placed her hand in his but he shook his head.                 “No, keys, I’m driving you either home or to my place.”  Angel lifted a brow, the keys in her hand.                 “What makes you think you get to drive my car?”                 “Since I think you need it, now hand them over.”  Angel narrowed her eyes, her back straight as she looked at him and he could see the fight within her, and how he loved that.                 “You know,” she started as she walked by him, the keys tightly in her hand, “I don’t need you to worry so much about me.  This is my show and I know the s**t that goes on.  And you, Damian, work for me, though I watch your back.”  He let her have her words as they walked out to the car and he got in on the passenger side.                 To see her come to heel before him would be a treat he couldn’t deny himself.  He knew she didn’t take well to being ordered around and he had wanted to wait, but his own sense of pride was screaming at him and after the s**t day with her, he was sure going to get what he wanted in every regard.                 15 minutes later, they pulled up to her small house and he climbed out of the car and followed her in to the house.  He kept watching her as she held herself like a queen.  Yes, he was going to love this.                 “You know what goes on in your world?” he finally asked, stepping up behind her once she closed and locked the door.  She whirled around, her eyes wide by the fact that he was right there.                 “I try to at least,” she told him.                 “So, as I’m part of your world, you would know I want to take you out.”                 “I….”  She swallowed hard, trying to step away but he didn’t let her.  His hand came up and entangled in her hair, pulling it slightly, causing her to gasp and his mouth crushed hers, his tongue sliding along hers and she moaned, her hands clenching his shirt.  But as quickly as he claimed her lips, he broke away, removing her hands and holding them above her head by her wrists on the door.                 She glanced up at them and tried to break free but he only shook his head.  His hips pressed against her, holding her firmly against the wall while his nose brushed along her neck.  She whimpered and then moved her head to try and kiss him.                 “No, you don’t get to do that, not now.  Besides, I asked you a question and I didn’t get an answer.”                 “I am the Boss here, not you!” she huffed and he grinned, his hand tightening in her hair.                 “You maybe my Don, but you will not control me in this room,” he growled against her lips as he tightened his hold on her wrists above her head.  She stared up at him, his words, his actions all made her more turned on and he knew that.  “Do you understand?”  His voice turned huskier and she let out a moan.                 “Yes Damian.”                 “What?”                 “Yes sir,” she whimpered.                 “Good.”  And with that, his lips roughly crushed against hers again.
