As I walked behind her, I felt extreme nervousness. Add to that the atmosphere of complete silence where the only sound was the click of Miss Violet's shoes echoing in the hallway. I was startled when she suddenly stopped, giving me a cold stare, causing me to pause in confusion. I was almost hesitant to speak or not, but I quickly decided.
"I-Is there a p-problem?" I nervously asked. I immediately felt intense anxiety as she spoke in her cold voice.
"I don't like people following me when I walk because I grew up without a tail, and I get irritated by them even more! So if possible, walk beside me!" she said authoritatively. I nodded, feeling like my chest was about to burst with anxiety, as I moved closer to her.
"I-I'm sorry," I replied nervously.
"Don't try to talk to me if you are trembling. That's what I hate the most. It just reminds me of those pathetic people," she added, then returned her gaze to the path and continued walking, with me following beside her.
Neither of us spoke as we walked because I felt nervous when she spoke, as she was too serious, and above all, I didn't want a repeat of what happened yesterday. She almost burst her frustration upon me. After the events of yesterday, they rested me, and I was supposed to gather strength for my training with Miss Violet. Miss Aurora reminded me to be careful during my training with Miss Violet, as it would be difficult if she attacked, especially if I couldn't remember how to use my full combat skills. It was frustrating, even though I tried to explain to them several times that I wasn't Snow, especially about their claims that I had amnesia. Even if the world turned upside down repeatedly, I wasn't the Snow Flame Stanford they were referring to!
Just earlier, Miss Violet came to get me and even threatened that if I didn't leave my room, she would break the door when she counted to three. So here I am now, like a servant always following what her master says because I'm afraid of losing my job. I had no choice but to stand firm in being Snow Flame, the one they were referring to, if I could handle it.
I regained my composure when I met Zero and Mr. Klein, who were holding paper bags, and I saw the concern in their eyes about my situation.
"Know her limitations, Violet, if you are willing to train her," Mr. Klein said, but it seemed Miss Violet didn't hear anything, as she continued walking and stopped in front of the door, then immediately spoke.
"Mind your own business, Klein, although she's definitely my student in the past years, so don't you dare to speak like you're the one who can train your students well," Miss Violet said in her cold voice and then opened the door facing her.
"Let's go, Kim!" she said, grabbing my wrist, so I could only look back at the concerned eyes of Mr. Klein and Zero.
As we entered, I was surprised by what I saw. The place was vast, all white walls and floors. It was not like the training room I used with Zero; it was much wider. Various weapons were scattered on the floor, as if, when you were in the middle, you could use any weapon. I snapped back to attention when Miss Violet spoke again.
"Go to the center when I start counting. Find a weapon to use, because when I reach five in my count, expect someone to attack you. If you can summon your guardian, do it to protect yourself," I nodded at her words. Even though I was nervous, I quickly ran to the center and when she started counting, I immediately looked for a weapon I could use, even though I didn't know how to use it.
I quickly grabbed the katana I saw, double knives, and a gun, and Miss Violet had just finished counting. When I stood up, I was surprised to see five women in white in front of me. I looked at them in wonder. They were all beautiful, but they exuded a strange aura, chilling.
"What are you waiting for? Are you going to wait for them to attack you before you counterattack?!" Miss Violet's shout woke me up.
I immediately aimed my gun at them, but one of them swiftly snatched it before I could even fire. I immediately felt sharp claws digging into my back, causing me to scream.
"Ahh!" I almost freaked out due to the intense pain. I tightened my grip on my katana due to the pain, and before they could add more, I quickly swung my katana in their direction. I saw them move quickly to dodge and jump high away from me. When they landed on the floor, I saw them grin, showing their long fangs, sharp claws, and pitch-black eyes.
"What are those creatures?" I asked Miss Violet in the midst of my panting breaths due to nervousness.
"Experimented Guardians or Insanes, the guardians captured by the Cryptus that we caught and imprisoned here for training," I immediately remembered Mr. Klein's answer to me yesterday. If the Cryptus captured Feros, would he also become like this?
I was brought back to reality when one of the Insanes leaped forcefully towards me, transforming into a hyena. I was about to stab it, but it was as large as the guardians at the last stage of their power. I had no other choice but to do that.
"Feros auravoir!" a sudden creature materialized with those snowflakes quickly collided with the incoming Insane towards me. Even though Feros was only half the size of the Insane, he didn't back down from the fight. I immediately pointed my katana at the four Insanes, hoping to intimidate them, but the situation turned around. I was afraid of what they could possibly do to me.
