Chapter 33: Unraveling “Are you making the right decision, Gillian?” I ask her, worried about her safety and her intentions. The last thing I want is for her to get hurt, accomplish something spontaneous without thinking it through first, and being miserable in the end. “I think I’m in love,” she admits, glowing this morning. “A woman knows when things are meant to be. I’ve reached that point in my life. I know that I’ve had a very bad record with a Hollywood producer in my past, but this time it feels right.” I trust her judgment. How can’t I? What kind of friend am I not to? For once in our relationship I feel that we have finally communicated in our lives together. Friendship has been found. No longer does she dislike me. And nor do I loathe her. Perhaps this is what the holiday week
