A night out

Author; hi everyone apologise’s for the lack of updates. I’ve recently had covid and along with my other complicated Health condition I ended up in hospital. I have now started writing again and as a way to wish everyone Happy Valentine’s Day I’m uploading a few chapters today instead of just one. Hope you all enjoy, loved to hear what everyone thinks. Happy Valentine’s Day everyone x …………………………………………………… “ Come on babe let’s go, if I have to listen to your mom and dad giggling and cooing over one another anymore I’m gonna gag” Jasmine whined behind me in the mirror while I finished off my makeup. Mom had finally forgiven dad. Only now it was like living with two horny teens. They had been without each other for too long and it was showing, they were at it like rabbits since this morning so I had caved with Jasmine and her bid to get me out to our old local hang out, Serenity's. It wasn’t anything major but it was about the only place in this town you could go for music and alcohol. We used to sneak off the pack territory when we were fifteen and go there. I loved to dance and hadn’t gone in years but tonight I was making an exception. Most of the younger pack members were going too, including Johnny and the guys. Apparently it was a human tradition called a stag party. I wasn't sure what they did but Johnny seemed excited and to be honest anything to keep him away from Heather right now I was all for. I hadn’t seen him since we had comforted Mitchell last night and I still hadn’t had a chance to ask him about why he had been at the pack house so late. I know he was a grown man and lecturing him wasn’t going to make things ok but sleeping with another pack member days before your due to marry your pregnant chosen mate is just plain idiotic and I honestly felt like smashing his head against the wall. I was just hoping I didn’t see him with another female at the club tonight. I wore a black fitted body con dress that gapped at the back. It was a little bit more fitted than what I’d normally wear but I looked good and tried not to look in the mirror too much incase I lost my nerve. I just had to trust Jasmine who told me repeatedly I looked hot. She had curled my blonde hair to perfection and let it hang loose, I’d gone for subtleness unlike Jasmine who had gone hot pink and sparkly with her dress along with her signature killer heels not that she needed it all, she was stunning her dark hair in a high ponytail on top of her head. “ Seriously I thought it was bad in my house with my player of a father but nope I forgot what your dads like with your mom” she moaned, folding her arms impatiently. She was right, we were in the middle of the make up part of mom and dad’s argument and let’s just say my ears were already bleeding after a few hours. Right now they were too engrossed in each other to realise they weren't alone in the house. As if to make a point we suddenly heard giggling from my mom as she and dad ran up the stairs and their bedroom door slammed shut. s**t. We had two minutes before things would start getting loud. “ Oh goddess not again please Alisha let’s go” Jas said clamping her hands over her ears and making a beeline for the door without me. I applied a touch of lipgloss quickly and ran out of my room behind her. We both ran down the stairs as fast as we could in our heels, I didn’t even bother to check if Johnny was still in the house or not. If he’d had any sense about him he wouldn’t be. I didn’t even bother to mindlink mom or dad to let them Know I was gone. They wouldn’t care at this point. I grabbed my clutch and was out the door but not before things started getting weird upstairs. Eww, why. Jasmine and I got to the club in town without any problems and In true Jasmine style she walked straight past the crowd lining up outside the front and went into the club. I always hated that part, especially the evil glares you’d get for cutting the queue but Jasmine refused to wait in line for things so I’d always keep my head down and follow her lead. No way would I have the nerve to do it if she wasn’t around. The place was crazy for a week night but the atmosphere was amazing so we went straight to the dance floor. I just loved to dance, Serenity's wasn’t a huge club but for our small town it was amnesia in Ibiza. I moved my body to the beat of the music completely oblivious to everyone but the music in the club, Jasmine danced with me before moving on to guys which was just her thing. After a while she came back to me and we danced together again. The dance floor got busier and I noticed several pack members out tonight thankfully none of them were Johnny or the queen b***h and her band of brats. “ babe will you grab us a drink? I'm dying” Jasmine fanned herself whilst her current human ground drunkenly against her. I rolled my eyes but walked towards the bar not wanting to be anywhere near that especially since his grubby friend kept eyeing me up too. I got to the edge of the bar but there was a massive crowd and I groaned internally knowing I was in for a long wait, I turned back to the dance floor surveying the club it was packed full of bodies drunk, sweating and grinding against one another. I spotted Nathan near the edge of the dance floor, his arms wrapped around Kelly. I frowned wondering why he was out tonight he’d been trying to entice me into a booty call so I knew Kelly was out tonight on this so called hen party of tammys but couldn’t see Nathan joining in with the stag since most of the guys couldn’t stand him. They were making out and I felt the familiar pang of jealousy tearing its ugly head, Kelly began to drag Nathan off somewhere and I mean drag as Nathan’s attention seemed to be on the crowd. Was he looking for someone? his eyes were in the same spot I’d just come from could he be looking for me a flare of fear washed through me hoping he hadn’t come out tonight hoping to find me here. Stupid mate bond. I reminded myself only yesterday Nathan had been trying to booty call me because his precious female was out for the night normally it was easy to tell him to piss off but now my heat was coming and it was near impossible to resist the mate bond in heat. Nathan wasn’t my mate in fact he never was. He may not have rejected me officially leaving me in this hell called limbo but our bond had faded over the years and gone were the days when I’d pined for him hoping he’d change his mind and choose me instead. At least that’s what I told myself. It’s not always that easy to forget about your soulmate especially when you have to watch him with his chosen female all the time. Shaking off the tingle of my mate bond I turned back towards the bar it wasn’t that busy now considering the crowd, not that I could get served still though I knew I looked hot tonight the attention and looks from the human males in here were enough to confirm that, there were plenty of beautiful women here and that meant the bartender was in no rush to serve me. I watched the calls and shouts from the slurring humans around me at the poor guy behind the bar, although he was surprisingly quick he’d never keep up with the crowd that was here tonight. Why the hell would they have only one man on the bar? I felt hands come around my waist and some human started grinding against me. “ Hey babe nice dress, it would look better on my bedroom floor” he slurred, stinking of booze and leaning against me for support. I rolled my eyes. Is this really what passes for pick up lines with humans? Instead of answering him I unhooked his meaty arms from my hips shoving him backwards turning to glare at him, he wasn’t bad looking by human standards, he clearly worked out but needed to do more cardio and less weights he was seriously disproportionate in size he was short too even by human standards and he couldn’t even focus on me it was hilarious the state humans could get in on nights out. He frowned at me clearly not used to getting the brush off, he moved towards me again going for round two not reading my ‘ f**k off’ expression I growled at him threateningly daring him to try and put hands on me again, the guy actually squealed before scampering off tripping on his own feet as he went. I giggled to myself before turning back to the bar having now lost my spot, I sighed thinking about just going back to the dance floor when a group of teens let me slip into a spot at the bar smiling at me as I passed them at least some human males knew how to act on a night out. I still couldn’t get served though, the barman seemed to be ignoring my end of the bar completely. typical. I decided to give up on the drinks and head back out to the dance floor after all I’d come out to dance, not drink jasmine and I had drunk our fill before heading out the amount of drinks we’d need to get drunk in this place would pay for the whole night. Humans jacked up the price of alcohol to ridiculous amounts, they didn’t even seem phased that the bar waters it all down. that’s why you always go for bottles when your in a club they at least can’t water those down not that it did much to get our kind drunk, I turned away from the bar slamming into a rock hard chest of pure muscle the smell of the forest hit me like a wave of pure ecstasy. I didn’t need to look up to see who it was, though I did staring into the beautiful green eyes of alpha Mitchell. He smiled down at me grabbing my waist for support. “ Alpha Mitchell I’m so sorry” I mumbled hastingly righting myself so he was no longer holding me up. I felt like an i***t stumbling in front of him. “ Alisha, having fun?” He moved forwards his hand at my back bringing me back to stand against the bar. “ I’m good thank you alpha” I bowed my head respectfully suddenly feeling nervous I still didn’t trust the Mitchell’s latest mood change towards me quite frankly his moods swings were giving me whiplash one moment he was friendly the next he couldn’t stand me or at least that’s what he said to other members of the pack including my mate. I knew he had every right to treat me how he liked as my alpha but it was hard to not feel hurt by his confusing behaviour. I knew we were ok now and I meant everything I said last night but I felt I needed to guard myself around him now. “ Mitchell please, we’re not in the pack right now….and I hate how you call me alpha” no but he was still my alpha regardless and there were other pack members in the club tonight thanks to my brothers coming nuptials. “ Thank you alpha but I don’t think it’s appropriate you never know who’s listening” I nodded my head in the direction behind him towards the other side of the dance floor where a few of his warriors had paused their conversations with human females to look in our direction. Mitchell didn’t miss their looks either but instead of keeping his distance he just smirked and moved closer to me. Why the hell would Mitchell put us in this situation had he forgotten I was his low ranking omega unworthy of even his friendship. ok that sounded catty he had apologised which as alpha he had no need to do. ever. Plus he had brought me that thoughtful gift that I still couldn’t get over him doing for me. I looked again and the warriors were still watching us, I knew they didn’t approve of me being in close proximity to their alpha and it was pissing me off. I looked back up to Mitchell who was just watching me intently, not even paying any attention to them. He looked good tonight and it was as if the man I had picked up off the floor last night was gone. He was clean shaven with a simple white shirt and dark jeans on, his dark hair was slicked back slightly. I could feel the burning looks of other females in the club just because of my close proximity to him, I’d be lying if it didn’t feel satisfying being in the situation right now. “ drink?” He smiled down at me, it took me a moment to come out of my daze in order to realise he had asked me a question. “Er…we… yes but I don’t think he’s serving this end though” I stuttered feeling stupid, damn why did he have to stand so close, I could feel his heat against me and his scent was messing with my thoughts. Suddenly I felt really hot. Mitchell didn’t seem to notice as he flagged down the barman and ordered drinks. It was amazing how he commanded authority no matter where he was. “ Well I better get back to your brother and make sure he’s not in any trouble” he smiled down at me handing me the drinks but his smile didn’t reach his eyes, after a moment he made no attempt to leave either. “ sir” we both turned breaking contact to see Colton standing to the left of us, Mitchell stood back slightly so he could face him properly. Colton was standing really close to us and it made me a little uncomfortable especially when his eyes raked down my body making me regret my outfit. Mitchell must have sensed my unease because his hand came to the small of my back sliding around my waist and pulled me back into his chest away from Colton. I knew it wasn’t just me colton had been acting strange since I found out he had been helping Nathan keep me in line all these years, he’s not made any attempt to talk to me since that day outside Johnny's office but I would often catch him staring at me from a distance and it made me weary of him now, I’d never thought of Colton as anything more than a friend but now he worried me because that had clearly all been a lie. “ Is there a problem colton?” Mitchell said firmly his grip on my waist tightened but I found it comforting knowing Mitchell was there. “ Johnny was looking for you sir” Colton said, his gaze going to my waist. I didn't take my eyes off him but I had no doubt he was eyeing Mitchell’s hand there. He looked like he was ready to rip Mitchell’s hand from me, if he could. “ I’m sure Johnny doesn’t need a babysitter. I'll be with you guys shortly” Mitchell said smugly nodding his head letting Colton know he was dismissed but Colton made no attempt to leave. “ I’m sure you will want to make sure your mate hasn’t gotten herself into any trouble” Mitchell urged, manoeuvring me slightly so I was suddenly behind him blocking Colton’s view of me. This whole situation was getting uncomfortable and I didn’t like the way Colton was looking at me one bit apparently neither did Mitchell I could feel his alpha aura and he wasn’t happy it was almost unbearable I wasn’t sure how Colton could stand it, his jaw clicked and I could tell he was struggling to hold Mitchell’s gaze. After another moment of their stare down Colton finally nodded and moved away disappearing back into the crowd of people. I let out a ragged breath wondering what the hell had been going through Colton’s head. He was acting like I was his mate and another male was all over me. He was acting like Nathan. Even though Colton was gone Mitchell made no attempt to move, I was pressed against his back only slightly able to peer round him. His arm was still locked around my waist holding me to his warm body. It was soothing, I felt safe with him and I didn’t seem to want him to let me go. I peered round to see a few of the warriors from earlier still watching us with disapproving looks but I didn’t really care anymore, I felt like just giving them the finger to really give them something to be pissed about. I looked up at Mitchell, he hadn’t noticed the audience we had because he was still staring into the crowd. I couldn't see what he was looking at but it didn’t take a genius to see he was still watching for Colton. He finally relaxed and then released me slightly, spinning me around so I was now facing him. “ t..t..thank you” I stuttered, still feeling a little uncomfortable by the whole interaction. His green eyes took me in but unlike Colton he wasn’t racking in my body he was looking intently into my eyes as if searching for something, it made me feel totally exposed to him but I didn’t seem to mind it. “ Does that happen a lot?” He nodded his head in the direction Colton went. I thought about it for a moment, no,not ever actually, Colton’s always been keen on me but he had a mate and he’d never been anything other than friendly. “ no he’s just always been a little protective” it wasn’t a lie but I’d always thought it had come from a place of friendship, from the things I’d been learning recently I’m not sure it was anymore. I couldn’t exactly tell Mitchell he was working as Nathan’s right hand man to keep me away from other males. “ Well if he makes you uncomfortable, come find me….. I better get back to the guys and make sure they haven't gotten Johnny too drunk” he chuckled like it was already a foregone conclusion Johnny would be worst for where by the time he got back. “ really?” I asked puzzled, surely they couldn’t have gotten Johnny in that much of a state with the drinks the humans sell. “ when I left them he was doing bottle shots” yep it was what it sounded like our version of shots was to down a bottle of vodka instead of using a shot glass. It wasn’t really something we did around humans though. “ Well thank you again for your help Mitchell” I smiled up at him his features softening a little when he looked at me he hadn’t missed I’d just called him by his name this time. “ What are friends for” he smirked, running his hand up and down my arm leaving goose bumps in his wake. I watched as he reluctantly walked back towards the crowd of warriors he spoke with them for a moment and then left disappearing into the crowd I figured to find Johnny seeing as he didn’t appear to be with them. “ hey excuse me” I turned hearing a male voice. I was half expecting it to be one of the warriors from earlier come to give me a talking to about bothering the alpha. To my surprise it was one of the college guys from earlier that had let me in at the bar. He was with a girl that had her arm linked in his I assumed was his girlfriend. “ Sorry we got a bet going with our friends.. that guy you were talking to” he gestured to the crowd I’m assuming he was talking about Mitchell not Colton. “ yea?” I asked not sure where he was going with this. “ See I said he’s your boyfriend but my friend grant says he’s a pimp given the amount of girls that’s been around him since he got here” he said gesturing to the crowd of college guys sitting in the booth closest to the bar who were all chuckling and eyeing me up. “ So you're calling me a hooker?” I frowned, annoyed, and seriously who says that to someone in a club. I had no problem kicking this guys arse in front of his girlfriend. The guy actually looked at me panicked realising what he’d done. “ no..no no no no I’m calling you the world's most laid back girlfriend” he urged waving his arms around him before thinking for a moment “...... my friends calling you a hooker” he shot over his shoulder to the group but I had no idea which creep had said it. “ so come on put me out of my misery the looser has to pay for the round” he chuckled nervously, shoving his hands in his pockets. I softened my gaze at the guy. He looked like a lost little lamb; he wasn't the type of guy you expect to find in a busy night club; he was dressed as if he’d been dragged away from his video game at the last second by his buddies. he’d clearly drew the short straw to come and talk to me and the girl next to him was yet to say anything yet she didn’t seem like the silent type. “ actually he’s my boss….friend” I said more gently but still loud enough he could hear over the music. “ oh yea are you his sexrutery?” the girl chimes in very confidently smirking at me. The awkward silence stretched out only the pounding of the music and the high pitched chatter around us offered us an escape, this girl obviously loved putting her guy in an awkward position if it wasn’t for the flashing lights I’d be certain he was bright red. They were a bit of an odd match she was confident in the way she held herself the kind that knew she could have anyone she wanted. She was blonde with her hair dyed pink on the ends it was tied up in half pigtails with the rest of her curly hair cascading down her back, she dressed in a black leather skirt and matching top with some kind of emoji on the front she looked like a sexy pixie she smelled human though I could barely catch it under the mountain of perfume she wore it was all consuming. I almost gagged, punk rocker, is that what they called her look? I really wasn’t sure anymore. I didn't really keep up with the names of fashion trends anymore so I had no idea. she looked like a cross between a rock chic and and hello kitty doll I’ll admit the look worked for her the guy she was with certainly liked it from the way he kept looking at her he was a bit geeky looking his blonde hair wasn’t styled, he wore a striped polo shirt with baggy jeans that did nothing for him he might have been toned but it was hard to tell he certainly didn’t carry any muscle like the pack males, he was obviously cute but he hid it well but I had to admit it was kind of nice to see the hot girl with a seemingly genuinely nice guy not some hot asshat that wanted one thing. I actually couldn’t believe what they had suggested though. I wasn’t stupid I knew what a sexratery was the thought unintentionally flitted through my mind of Mitchell kissing me in his office, his bedroom. Ok maybe it was more than kissing but the images were there before I could stop it. I shook my head before I could let them play out any further. Blushing slightly but grateful no one would tell under this lighting. s**t I was more drunk than I realised I thought taking a big gulp of the beer Mitchell had brought me. Did I really have a s****l fantasy about the alpha? the sheer fact my wolf hadn’t scalded me was strange in itself. “ no no no he really is my boss ” I insisted, trying to shut the implications down anyone of the pack members here might hear, they weren't that far away and if they really wanted to hear they could. The girl looked disappointed, pouting at me. “Oh bummer I’d be his sexratery for sure if I worked for him” she smiled suggestively looking over my shoulder I looked behind me to see Mitchell was now stood just at the edge of the dance floor he was surrounded by pack males, mostly warriors and a harem of females most of them humans. “ I thought you already were a secretary,” the guy asked the girl, frowning. huh maybe these guys weren’t together after all I was sure I’d gotten that right. Human love was all so very temporary I could never keep up with it. “ yea but my boss doesn’t look like that darling, that guy looks like he was sculpted from the heavens” I looked back cringing knowing Mitchell would probably hear he wasn’t far away and even the pounding of the club music wouldn’t drown out the girls voice. I saw Mitchell with girls all around him. Most of the guys were trying their luck but Mitchell seemed uninterested not that it changed the females trying to touch him but he wasn’t engaging he seemed distracted. s**t could he hear us. No no no. I noticed Mitchell smirk and I knew he’d heard, or maybe he was engaging with one of the females. Black hole open up now if he was listening to these two. Moments later my fears were confirmed when I heard his voice in my head.
