Liv’s POV The drive back to Rose's place felt like it took forever. The low hum of the engine and the quiet between us was oddly comfortable. I kept my hands folded in my lap, watching the city lights flicker past. The adrenaline from the night was slowly wearing off, and with it, my focus. My thoughts drifted to everything—my work, Kaelon, Rose, the past few days—until we finally arrived in front of the apartment building.
