Kaelon’s POV I watched her walk away. She stepped out of the car like she was made of something far stronger than the heat that hovered in the air between us. My fingers still tingled from the brief touch we shared, the slight but undeniable spark that flickered when she pulled away. But I didn’t stop her. I didn’t want to seem desperate. But damn, I wanted to stop her. I wanted to keep her with me. I wanted to hold her—just for a second longer. But I didn’t.
