Marcus pulled her in a hug the moment she stepped in and she clearly looked uncomfortable and didn't hug Marcus back even if she wanted to. Marcus disengaged from the hug and kissed her. Her eyes went around. Lucian was watching and laughing inwardly at Zendaya. She'd gotten a lot of trouble for a mate. Their intimacy reminded him of Alexia. He missed her. When Marcus disengaged from the kiss, Zendaya turned to face Lucian swiftly.
"I know. And it's okay, that's why we are here." His voice sounded calm and smooth. Zendaya looked from Lucian to Marcus and from Marcus to Lucian. She was clearly confused.
They were still waiting for Marius when he came into the throne room. He walked to his throne and sat on it. The three of them bowed in his presence and he told them to rise.
