Sweet Dreams

~~Dream~~ I was locked in a silver cage with a wooden floor that I could sit on. Around me was a blue fire, and there was chanting. My clothes were different, I looked more like a Victorian noble woman than a woodsy traveler, I looked around and saw silver-blue eyes on a pale face, he was smiling and brought a cup of blood to his mouth and took a sip. Behind him was a dragon that seemed to be his pet, around the cage were dancing young women in little to no clothes, they looked as if they were just entertainment slaves. On the stairs leading up to the silver eyed man was a cloaked figure with striking gold eyes and an evil smirk across their face. "We could help if you beg for it." whispered in my ear. Then everything faded out and the floor of my cage let out as I fell into the dark. It felt like i crash landed on the bed and I woke with a jolt. It wasnt a warning, or anything bad, I knew who it had come from...but there was really no reason for them to help me. They always made deals and everything came with strings, but I guess it wouldn't be a bad idea to actually see what they wanted. Aknock on the door came. "Shaman?" Thorn's voice came through the door. "Open," I replied. Between the night in the forest and the message I was sent I was still very tired, but I knew the council was going to be meeting and we would have to deal with some unpleasent buisness. "What is it Thorn?" I asked, it always seemed to bother him when people left off his Alpha title, but he never dared bring it up with me. "The meeting?" He started, "it will be held tomorrow." I felt him put a box on my bed. "Grace picked this out for you, its a teal evening gown with heels, she said it would match the feathers in your hair from Crow." I stood from the bed and felt the box, the air felt heavy and I knew Thorn had a lot on his mind about the council meeting, Lilly could be heard skipping down the hall humming songs as she collected random things she would need for her work that day, so I decided it was time for Thorn to know. "She's very sweet...speaking of sweethearts, I know where Lilly's mate is and we're going to start our journey after this meeting with getting her to him." I left no room for him to say no. "I don't want her coming with us to the council meeting so we would have to come back and pick her up, its maybe a two day ride there." "So far?" Thorn asked. "Yes, but she's dying for her mate. His pack is small, and there aren't many females, its also a very old and well guarded pack that has been dwindling in numbers for the last half century." I took a monent to see if he would say anything. "And then I have some things I need to settle out with an...old enemy." Thorn didn't bother asking questions, he alrady knew that I wouldn't be accepting help or otherwise from him. "How will you be let in if they are well guarded?" He asked. "Easy, they were the pack my Master was born from, and even the one before him, that pack was blessed by the Moon Goddess long ago, even to the point they could withstand silver attacks in their full form for short periods of time. Truely blessed warriors of old times that gave their all for nature and the Goddess. Druids of old times, she will be in good hands even if she decided to stay with his pack, and you would have one hell of a high quality defender if he chose to follow her to this pack." I sighed heavely. "I can't tell for sure which way this would go if she stays or he does, just be prepared." "What do you mean they could withstand silver attacks for a time? Are you talking about Lycans? Wait your Master? He was a Lycan?" Thorn sounded very confused "Yes, the better and larger than life werewolf hybrids. The first couple to ever be blessed as Lycans were that pack's leaders, and while the decendants of that couple aren't as strong as the original, they are still wonders to behold, especially in battle. These Lycans love their seclusion and their privacy, most wouldn't even consider helping any random pack. However my Master was not a Lycan, he missed the genes that made him one but on the same coin I have no actual wolf, only the spiritual ones that I can summon with meditation, you can be blessed only once with special gifts, with that being said I don't know the criteria for being born a Shaman, or if another will ever even show up after me." I know I sounded disapointed, a Shaman will stay alive until a new one is trained but I had no idea if they were able to actually die or not, if so my Master and his before him have never shown themselves. Thorn Interupted me, "so she would be with a LYCAN??" His voice was in disbelief, "wouldn't...but...I don't.." his words weren't coming to him, and he seemed to be in a state of confusion."You're speaking in fairy tales to me, but then again, you were also a fary tale as well." He left the room. I fell back laying on the bed again and saw those wonderful eyes with that evil smile next to the hooded figure. Very interesting for indeed that they would have reached out like this. Almost as if they know something I don't. Every race has at least one Shaman with high spiritual powers, and even classes higher than themselves such as Lycans to Werewolves, but I only know of one race that exclusivly drinks blood the way I saw in that dream. Vampires.
